Your boys better wake up Indy. I think 75% of the population has A&M in the Final Four.

I don't know if that's true, but if it is . . .
GO PENN!!!
Sorry, Indy, but it would benefit my brackets greatly, since I'm in the other 25%. I could handle a first round loss if that's the case.

Shine wrote:I won't argue long over things that are already in the rearview mirror but a couple quick things. First is how everyone wants to talk about how KSU beat TT in the B12T but overlook that TT beat KSU on their homecourt. Second is that TT was 7-9 versus the RPI top 100 (using Pomeroy). Other teams with much better seeds that nobody argued about include:
8-6, Texas A&M 3 seed
9-11, Michigan St 9 seed
8-9, Texas 4 seed
7-10, IU 7 seed
7-9, Louisville 6 seed
Simply put, TT won enough games against top competition to be among the top 34 at-large teams and were seeded correctly near the bottom of that group.
Looks like ORU is playing like well uh, ORU.
top 100? nobody uses that as a criterion. OK State went 8-8 top 100, did they belong over Tech?
c'mon Shine, you wouldn't be defending Tech if James Dickey was still their coach (who did have a better year than RMK has ever had at TT).

Ok, glad that's over with. Like I said, I'd rather us lay an egg in round 1 vs. a much weaker team where you can still wint he game. We did just that. If we play like that against Louisville, it'll be a long drive home. Billie G. will right this ship by Saturday.

Aggies v Louisville is going to be a fun game to watch.
How can anyone not like the Tournament?

Gotta admit, after looking at the contrasting performances today in A&M and Louisville, I'm a bit worried about this game. A&M tends to rise to its competition though, so I think it'll be a close one either way.

If Vandy holds on(45-20 @ Half), I'll be 8-0. Which means I will probably go 3-5 tonight.

Anybody who picked ODU to beat Butler knows nothing about CBB. They are headed to the Sweet Sixteeen after they wax Maryland next. A few of the boys and I are going to catch it at the Bing.

What if you picked GW to beat Vandy?

Duke is fuckin' killin' me right now. I never thought I'd be sitting here saying, "Well, I sure hope that Duke wins this game." Does this make me a bad college basketball fan? I mean, since most Duke fans didn't start being Duke fans until around '89-'90 or so, and Crown's logic, I just kinda figured that whoever wanted to root for them could...
...and I love rooting for an underdog. Without Demarcus Nelson, Duke loses this game by 15-20. White guys suck at breaking presses. Certainly, Duke is Duke.

Paulus was used and abused by the Maynard kid from VCU down the stretch. Nice clutch FT shooting by the Dukies--especially Paulus. 1 for 4 in the last 5 minutes. McRoberts barely drew iron. jeezo.

i am happy that DUKE lost...woo hoo...
just wish I would have followed through and took VCU...oh well...
living in ACC country it is sweet when an ACC team goes down since they like to ram rod how shitty everyone else is compared to them regardless of year or whatever...fuck em...
(all the acc guys on this board are cool cats, just the asses I have to deal with daily)

Paulus and McRoberts had good nights scoring the basketball but the best thing about this early exit should mean no one will leave early. I'd like to think this will be a more hungry team as well as wiser. Coach K doesn't work miracles...he's a better coach when he's got a team that is on auto-pilot. That Maynor dude is bad ass...great shot late in the game. That is something no one on Duke is really capable of doing...hitting a big shot in a key situation. Pittsburgh (assuming they win) with their bigs will give them problems but VCU has a very impressive group of guards.

UNC- E. Kentucky:
Hansborough knocks a guy on the ground (who beats him to the basket), no call. and UNC gets a cheap foul call on the shot next time down the floor. Heels go to the line. just terrible.
Playing on the "neutral floor" in Winston-Salem.

IU wasn't scoring 50 ppg in the regular season either, dumbass. They averaged 70 ppg.

Duke shit the bed. No one on that team can hit a shot when it matters. Oh well. Coach K isnt at his best w/ a young team anymore. At his age he needs an older team.
13-3 so far.

Hmmmmm.............and here I thought it was only
Duke that knocks guys to the ground....and get cheap calls.....go to the line. Nice to see that somebody notices that it actually happens in games when Duke isn't playing!

I think most have said Dookie Vitale teams...North Carolina and Kentucky fall in to the mix there.

Uh......no. My point was that there are bad calls in ALL games. According to anti-Duke nation, Duke wins because they get the calls and lose when they don't get them. Talent, coaching, turnovers, injuries, etc., etc. really have nothing to do with it.
