That depends on the makeup of the playoff system. If we had an 8-team playoff that rewarded conference champions, then the Pac-10 adding a cash game would still be pointless and could only do harm to a team like '07 Oregon.

If we had a 16-team playoff then championship games, out-of-conference games, conference games, ALL games wouldn't be an issue. It would basically be like college basketball. Each conference could even have a mini-conference tournament in December and the games would be just as meaningless as the regular season games, since basically the same top 16 teams would spit out in the end anyways.

The fact remains that Oregon has still beaten a top 25 team OOC.
Michigan???? Nice.

All of this bellowing about who "deserves" to play in the NC game is hilarious. Let's play the last three weeks and see what happens........and like it or not, if Kansas wins out they will play in the NC game.......and they'll deserve it as much as anybody else. I think Kansas was unlucky to miss Texas this year....they would have defeated Texas. Fuggit, whoever plays in the NC game deserves it and whoever gets left out deserves it. This is the idiotic system that all the colleges wanted and this is what they've got. I don't feel sorry for any of 'em.........

52nd rated SOS?

Yeah....way to blow up those numbers vs crap teams.....you gave up 41 to the best team you played.

Again, not buying what you're trying to sell.
I know my avatar is different but, christ TREX, how can you mistake my allegiance? OU fan here, not Mizzou fan.

Everything you pointed out is why I would still favor Oregon or LSU over Missouri. All I'm saying is I know a good team when I see one and Missouri is very good. If the Oregon or LSU players took Missouri as lightly as some on this board do, they would soon be bleeding from the mouth and/or anus.

And by the way......I think the Kansas and Missouri offenses compare quite favorably to Oregon's.......

In his case, it doesn't take much. Shiny objects will pretty much do it.

They don't have to conform, and nobody is saying that they should. At least not by moi.
