One last thing 'tart, isn't gambling the same thing as money changing?

I thought your precious savior had an issue with that.

How very sinful of you.

Enjoy hell, I'm sure it's lovely in the Summer.

Fantasy football hasn't ruined jack shit. Betting itself has, but nobody wants to go there. So do your thing here, let others do there fantasy thing elsewhere. Or here, what difference does it make. Since this IS the Cul, why isn't this in the NFL forum?

Did popturd get lost on his way to theology?

Oh yeah, that's right, nobody cares about that nonsense, except one sad and lonely mental midget.

Open forums or specific ones, make up your minds.

As it is, anyone who chooses to place their cache in the hands of the resident lunatic is asking to get screwed.

Just sayin'.

Hint: You're past due for a tampon change, Jayne.

This thread is in here so that perhaps more people can know about, and join, the fun game.

No harm.

Your ass is REALLY sore, isn't it?

1. Three Best Bets is not a money game. It's just for kicks.
2. Christianity is not legalism. We don't worship Moses. We worship the Christ.
3. I have no issue at all with making a small wager now-and-again. If it takes over my heart and soul -- it's another issue.

To start with at SCIII, we were implacable political, social and sports related enemies.

Then he joins JAFFL in 2005. We found common ground, to the point where this is his 2nd time around as commish. We trust him.

We'll still argue with no quarter given, but with mutual and well earned respect.

Enough with the hysterics, Sally. Gambling has, if anything, fueled the NFL's growth. And the point you're trying to make is, again?

If you're carrying a .38 and having any balls you're down to the local Portuguese football bar with a bookie parlaying three games.
Exactly.

This thread was started for Three Best Bets and nobody leveled any smack at Fantasy Football, yet Wagon came in with dick swinging and said this...

So Mgo and I dealt some smack back his way, and now he's no longer my fliend.

Pops, the first post was meant to highlight how silly I though the FFL argument was.

The second was straight up sarcasm.

Too bad you don't get the concept, but you don't get a lot of things either.

Whatever dude, happy gambling.

I'm still your friend, no game will change that.

Bri chimed in first, I was louder. The good cop/bad cop routine. Scott played his part well, very well.

We accomplished our goal of 16 teams, just like we always do.

Some years are more aggravating than others but as for me and my Jackass brethren, we never give up and realize that to make an omelette you have to crack open a few eggs.

Thanks to all for the role they played, especially Rumps, whom the real message got thru to.

I guarantee he won't regret that decision.

Screw, that was a poorly constructed sentence. Gambling hasn't "ruined" any sport, per se, what it has ruined are lives. I have seen a couple of examples first hand where gambling addictions absolutely destroyed someone's finances, caused loss of home and belongings, families disowning, etc. Whether you want to attribute that to the act of gambling or the person who cannot control themselves, that's up to you. I have no problem with betting whatsoever, loves me some Vegas time at the blackjack tables or sports books.

I was just messing with poptart. He's seen fit to off the deep end, why not give him an extra push?

It's all good, enjoy the football season and whatever bets you want to make.

Other than answering the question Screw asked, that was pretty much it. Everything you just mentioned is also correct. Mine was a specific in regards to gambling. It was answered and qualified. What exactly is your point?

Just trying to follow where you were going with this. You suggested that betting has ruined football, then backpedalled and said it ruined lives, destroyed someone's finances, caused loss of home and belongings, families disowning, etc. You just seemed pretty distressed about gambling. Then you turned around and said you had no problem with it. You feeling OK? Can I get you a drink?

No thank you, I'm good.

I didn't back peddle', I said the sentence was poorly worded, as was intent. I have no personal issue at all with gambling or drinking, just the abuse of either one. To do so can ruin anone's life, as I have witnessed firsthand.

How you or anyone else could dismiss that, is what would trouble me. Yeah yeah, that isn't what you said, just understand the intent as I have now explained...or not.

Otherwise cheers and place your bets.
