The National Review just reported that Obama willingly and knowingly funded an Al Qaeda affiliate during his time in office. No, it is the Islamic Relief Agency (IRSA) and its direct ties to Osama bin Laden and the proto-Al Qaeda organization he founded, Maktab al-Khidamat (MK). The ISRA formally connected itself to MK in 1997 and began gathering funds for the group which supported anti-Western organizations and activities throughout the Middle East. This, of course, led to the eventual 9/11 bombing.

So, Marty, you dismiss this report out of hand? Interestingly, the very groups you smeared are involved in this particular situation. World Vision is the charity organization that distributed the grant money to MK as a conduit to approach African Muslim governments.
I find it odd that you dispute anything about this topic without knowing the particulars.

Interesting. Now this is where Meltspray would point out the National Review is very right-leaning source with a rating of "Mixed" when it comes to factual reporting. But this story seems believeable. It just broke two days ago so it will be interesting to see if it gets picked up in the mainstream media and if it stands up to scrutiny. Marty, what say you?
