Look around and see barely a creature is stirring, and not even a REX.
So it goes when the AFC West is mostly quiet on a Sunday afternoon.
Well, here's somethin' to get Chef fan flappin'.....maybe.
Pro Football Weekly's Week Four Rookie of the Year Meter shows this.....
3. Raiders LB Kirk Morrison
Season stats (four games): 36 tackles, pass defended
Week Four stats: seven tackles
Last week’s ranking: 5
Stock: RISING
In terms of overall performance, you have to rank Morrison just a shade over the less consistent Johnson. Morrison has not appeared out of place at all starting on the outside for the Raiders, pacing the team in tackles and making all the plays expected of him. He helped the Raiders hold the Cowboys to one touchdown and two field goals, making a few key early stops and also downed a Shane Lechler punt on the 1-yard line, showing his special-teams prowess.
4. Chiefs LB Derrick Johnson
Season stats (four games): 31 tackles, sack, fumble recovery, forced fumble
Week Four stats: 10 tackles
Last week’s ranking: 4
Stock: STEADY
A week after looking lost for most of the game against the Broncos, Johnson came back with a strong game of his own, even if the rest of the defense was undressed in the second half by the Eagles

This publication sees Oakland's unheralded rookie LB outperforming the great DJ through the first quarter of the season.
Won't buy me a cup o' coffee, but it brought a smile to my face.
