What else would you like me to say?Sky wrote:Ohhh, that's it?
You mean two fumbles, a shanked punt and numerous bad calls weren't enough to help you win?
So sorry.
I could get into how most Buckeye fans are imbred jackasses, but I thought that'd make me a poor sport.

And to be honest, had Michigan won, and they had their chances, and hell ONE FUCKING STOP in the last 7 minutes would have done it.
The headline of this post would have said "The Better Team Lost."
Doesn't mean I wouldn't have been fucking ecstatic, drunk off my ass and calling out Michigan State for being a bunch of no heart mother fuckers who have ended their last four seasons in monumental collapses.

I know, some of you say that all the time but I disagree. Unless this game is the one and only reason he loses his job, I think a little common courtesy should be expected.
Do you really think PC would have run off the field if he lost last night? Do you think JTressel would have run away if the bucks hadn't scored? No. Buck up, shake your opponents hand and stop acting like a 15 yr old.

I've got a small problem with "the better team won concept".
Does the better team fumble twice in it's own end, shank punts, and misshandle punts?
I still think UM is better, but Tressel was the x factor. If I'm Buckeye fan I love the way OSU approaches this game. Very intense yet businesslike. Great gameplan and execution in critical phases.
OSU deserved to win but I'll stop short of claiming them the better team.

Right, because it's hard to act with a modicum of respect and dignity. His team lost, he was the coach, he should own it. Walk over and shake the mans hand who just beat you. If you don't want to feel like that, win the game.SoCalTrjn wrote:stick to little league, sportsmanship has no place in billion dollar industries like pro or major college athletics

Ohio State wouldn't lose games the same way Michigan did this year. That defense wouldn't allow Russell to break that run when the game bound for OT. The Buckeyes have been better for a few years now...it's no coincidence that they've won THE game these past few years. Tressel is a big part of that. After the first couple of years, I was a bitter fan that wouldn't give sweater vest his props but when he's beat your team 4 out of 5 times, he's got your number.

Rack Killian and all the Michigan fans for sacking up...
not sure I do not believe that tOSU was not the better team this year...sure they made mistakes and tempted fate if you will but they found a way to shutdown Michigan in the last 7 minutes and yet drive the ball 88 FUCKING yards to put the biscuit in the basket and win the game...that my friends is the stuff of legends and what makes rivalries great...
so cal trojan...shove it...I agree with Killian show some respect to the guy who beat you...i am sure many times in golf and what not people might be bitter someone holed a putt to beat you on the last hole but they still shake hands and move on...put it this way...Weis did a class thing by going over to the SC lockerroom and congratulating them on a great game after the SC/ND game would PC do the same thing? Perhaps no one outside of Weis thought to do that, but I know in the many games I have attended since Tressel took over he has always walked out to midfield and shook hands an even in losing has the players sing the alma matre to the band...dude is a class act and since you are mTOOL like in your class I wouldn't excpect you to understand that...it's too bad you are an SC poster as Jimmy and Greg are stand up guys and I know for a fact that if SC and Texas meet and texas wins those two will be in here giving props as would the texas guys...you I am not so sure...
so cal you are the MTOOL of SC Nation...good god...

[PSU homerism]FWIW, JoePa has done that before. After PSU's first undefeated, unrecognized season in '69, they started the following season with an early game vs. Colorado. Colorado whipped their asses. Story goes that Joe went to the Buffs locker room to congratulate them. Afterwards, the CU players were a bit taken by his calss, even after an ass-whopping like that.[/PSU homerism]buckeye_in_sc wrote:Weis did a class thing by going over to the SC lockerroom and congratulating them on a great game after the SC/ND game would PC do the same thing? Edit: Check that... SECOND undefeated season

They also don't watch the games because they are too busy playing.Nolesy wrote:Hey, its our kids who watch this behavior and learn from what they see.Try a little harder not to be so short sighted.SoCalTrjn wrote:stick to little league, sportsmanship has no place in billion dollar industries like pro or major college athletics

Like I said win or lose, I could care less if the coach went and shook the enemy coaches hand, in fact Id prefer that he didnt. Save that "be friends with them after the game" crap for rec league soccer, this isnt ballerina ball, its football and its fuelled by pure hateKillian wrote:Right, because it's hard to act with a modicum of respect and dignity.
