Pick'em Games Finalist List

Post by indyfrisco »

Well, like I said before, I am being swamped at work. I don't have the time when I get home to mess with the pick'em games stuff with all the baby stuff and other things going on.

So, here's the deal...

If you have already won a berth to the Finals, congrats.

If you have not, congrats.

Everyone is in the Finals.

I do not have the time to get the last 3 weeks games input and posted. I know this is going to piss a lot of people off, but I have no choice. I don't have the time for this right now.

So, I will make one promise to all...

I PROMISE TO GET THE FINALS PICKS IN AND THE RESULTS TABULATED IN A TIMELY FASHION.

If I do not fulfill this promise, I will go the way of the Hungus.

And I encourage all to join for this last round of the pick'em, at least the last round I will hold. I will retire as the owner of the pick'em after this year's bowl games. Just want to go out Alvarez-style.

Code: Select all

PrimeX won the whole 'chilada. You guys totally sucked compared to his great pick 'em knowledge. You should send him money. Twenty dollars each would be cool.

I would love to call bullshit here....

But damn IF's got a full plate.

Much Racks for running a quality pickem as long as you did. Thanks for holding it together this long. May I nominate Shoalzie as heir to the cfb version of pick em?

I'm a pretty busy guy but if it's just a matter of continuing what he's been doing, I can give it a go. I'd need to know where to get the point spread and I won't have the fancy site to show the results but I'll do my best to keep a great game going. It would keep me very busy during the fall and winter with hockey, NFL and college football going on at the same time. I've not been as reliable as I used to be but this is probably the best pick 'em game on the board and I would hate to let all of you guys down.

I accept your nomination but I'm not about barge in take over without the getting the blessing of all of the regulars here. This is all your game and if you have a better choice than me, that's cool.

That sounds good to me...give me a time and place and I'll be there.

I won't offer an alternative, I'd just offer my services since I run three other games on this board already. I wouldn't make any radical changes but I couldn't do the same thing Indy did with posting the results on a seperate site. I'd keep everything strictly inside the board itself. I was already brainstorming how I'd work the game...I'm certainly interested if that's the direction everyone would like to go. I'm not about to barge in take over. This is a special game for the regulars in this forum and I wouldn't want to ruin what has already been a successful product for some time. I realize I'm not a regular here but I enjoy college football greatly and if you guys would prefer to keep the game in the forum family so to speak, I'd understand.

I've got a bad habit of posting at work...I need help. Plus running those other games inflates the post total as well.

88,

feel free to break out your mechanical pencil and graph paper to tabulate the last 3 weeks. I just don't have the time right now.

Pardon me for momentary dumbness, but I don't remember how you did the finals last year. When do the finals come out?

And if this week hasn't been finals week, why no Pick Em for this week?

Finals are for the bowl games. As soon as Lefty gets the odds to me, I will post them.

As for this week, I am swamped at work. I do a drive by here and there, but I just don't have the time. THis weekend, I got all kinds of home projects going on. I just don't have the time.
