Lt. Commander James Ennis, officer of the deck on the USS Liberty as it was it being attacked by Isreal

That doesn't matter, what's more important is that Israels behaviour up to and including the AIPAC scandal proves that the driving force behind the country is practical need and self interest. It shows that Israel is only interested in the US in terms of what it can take - not what it can give. So to hear support for Israel from so many so called 'nationalists' is completely bizzare.

It differentiates them from the United States in that there is no benefit for the US. This might sound crazy, but mutual benefit is generally the entire point of an alliance. Any advantages of a military alliance are theoretical at best.

Why don't they pull up their bootstraps, get off the dole and get a real job?
