CFB on Fox

Post by L45B »

Thought I'd add this to the Dan Fouts is a moron thread, but then not everyone would have the opportunity to fully understand the severity of this issue.

As much as some of you hate the broadcasting of guys like Keith Jackson and Brent Musberger, be careful what you wish for. Nothing will be as bad as when our beloved sport goes to Fox.

Have any of you actually watched an NFL game or pre-game show on this fucking network? Horrible, hacky, cringe-worthy.

Even in front of the largest plasma screen, how the fuck will we even get to see a toss sweep with all that CNN-esque, Star Wars, Madden '92 pop-up fucking graphics that flood the damn tv?

Personally, I can't wait for the national championship to be covered by the team of Barry Tompkins, Petros Papadakis, and Kellen Winslow. :meds:

It severly pained me when the ABC broadcast came replete with a 10 second delay the other night. I was completely unable to listen to the PSU radio broadcast.

Not a fan of Fox, by any stretch of the imagination, but I should point out in fairness that Fox was the first network to continuously show the score of the game you're watching. That's now standard fair on every TV network, but never occurred to anybody, apparently, until Fox got NFL broadcasts beginning with the '94 season.

Unfortunately, Fox prides itself as an innovator, and in their quest to become ever more innovative, they've developed all the quirks that L45B complains about, and rightfully so.

I didn't realize they pulled that horseshit. I wonder if the ESPN Radio feed also was delayed.

Maybe the school networks will catch on and delay their broadcasts to coincide with the TV, in the future.
