Seriously. Two days after the SB and everyone is back on the Colts nuts. I like Tony Dungy. He used to coach my Bucs, but I think I have finally succomb to the idea, that this man will never win the big one. If the Colts were going to win the SB, it would have happened this year. For them to be the fav out of the gate is just stupid. For oddsmakers to even be picking favs for 363 days from now is even stupider.

"drop" to 2-1?? Way to BSmack yourself.
never said they would still be the overall favorites. If they lose James- they resign Wayne- still have one of the best passing games is in the NFL, a strong O line, A young, quick secondary that excels in takeaways, one of the best def end tandems in the league with Freeney & Mathis... so they would still be really good on paper.

Yeah... but going from a 4-1 favorite to a 2-1 favorite is not "dropping". You're saying that their odds of winning the SB are "increasing" if James leaves. That is BSmacking yourself.

Funny... the same thing that's been said of Cowher up until Sunday night.
Hey, cic... pssssssst, it ain't an easy accomplishment. If it were, Kotite would have a super Bowl ring as a HC. I don't understnad how people can't realize that even when you have a very, very, good team, it still takes one hell of a good game to waltz throughthe playoffs and take the SB.
Nothing has changed in the essential formula...Manning is a QB that will play very well in the regular season, and crumple in the post season. The more he "calls the plays", the more this will hold true.
There's a reason why most QBs don't call their own plays - they are in the heat of the battle, and their attention has to be focused on executing the plays according to an overall gameplan.
It's just not a good idea to give this guy that much authority over what they do. Rattle him, and you rattle the whole team, and they are not in a position where they can adjust.
Same old same old.

In 50 years, PISC will still be calling out this one ha? :P
