X-men 3

Saw it this afternoon ... with only about 15 other people in the theater, all of us beating the masses tonight and Saturday, Sunday and Monday, no doubt, as there was a LONG line when I got out of the theater, less than 2 hours later.
For those who liked the first two movies ... it kicked ass.
I won't try to do a typical review, as plenty of those are available online, but I will say, it was, of course, absolutely visually stunning, and not as "lacking" as some of the critics have written.
I will say, however, that the film could've easily been 2 1/2 ~ 3 hours, in order to develop the new characters a bit more ... but mostly to explain the conflicts that are going on with the premise of the film, which starts out a kick-ass gray (potentially), and suddenly just becomes black and white, which is what the critics have cited as the weakness of this movie.
What's ironic however, is that many of the same critics would be bitching about how "long" the movie is, had it been another 30 minutes. ('sup LOTR Critic DUMBFUCK)
I'm looking forward to the Director's Cut/extended version of this movie.
8/10
P.S.
If you see this movie, DO NOT leave when the credits start rolling. Stay until the credits are done. There's a final scene lasting about 20 seconds that is worth it, especially if you a an X-men fan, movies or comic-wise.
