Disappointing but you can't let the inmates run the asylum

NFL Network is now reporting that the Patriots are letting Deion Branch seek a trade with and negotiate a contract with other teams. (no link yet found) Belichick has never been shy about tough roster/player decisions but damn. I guess the only question now is what the Patriots will accept as fair value in a trade. Tough to lose the the team's best wideout this close to the start of the season.

So according to BSmack, that would make Reche Caldwell or David Givens a #1, eh?

Seymour did some postering last summer and ultimately reported. Deion will do the same... he really has no leverage whatsoever.
