Just picked up his two-disc compilation, "The Mercury Years."

IMNSHO, he was one of those underappreciated artists that deserved more play. I loved "The Salt In My Tears." Hell that whole album (One Night w/A Stanger) was great.

Yeah, he was dark and cynical, but what the hell's wrong with that?

I guess I'll date myself and rack that. Great song. Never knew who did it.

In the book-sized liner notes that came with the set, Briley mentions that much was made of the look on his face while laying on the couch in the video. Turns out he was suffering from food poisoning.
