but where is JON? I thought he would be here this week to trash my Cyclones since they are playing Iowa this week. Especially since they are on yet another National Title run. :meds:

I love this game.
This always makes my day when little brother beats up on big brother. (What has it been 4 of the last 5?)
Serves the Squack fans right.
They show up on Monday morning with their tail firmly tucked between their legs.
Makes me smile.
Good luck minor.

Me thinks JON will surface after the game if Ioway wins

Yup, under the name of scout.com...of course, page 1 there has threads that are over a year old. We raped and pillaged that place.

JON better not think of showing up after the game to gloat if he doesn't come in to call his shot before. ISU almost always brings their A-game for Iowa, hope the clones can pull another upset.

ISU has won 6 out of 8 of the last meetings. Drew Tate is questionable this weekend. Which will work to the Hawkeyes favor in case they do get beat. The Cyclones haven't shown shit yet though. I look for the offense to finally start clicking this weekend.

Speaking of Fanhome.....whatever happened to Wazhazee? He and I used to go back and forth there and then we came to a mutual agreement, the rest of the members there were pussies.

His name is Ryan Hansen. I think he was a DB for Iowa. jon=bitch was claiming bode because he was in People magazine as "hottest college athlete."

Dude LOVES the cock.

I was wrong. The offense fell apart in the second half.

Why the fuck did they stop the QB draw? Meyer was rolling off almost 8 yards per carry. It is stupid to make a running QB crap around in the pocket.

I watched the game, ISU was taking it to them early, Iowa seemed to take over with depth.. their offense against your defense was glaring the second half.
Stevie Hicks just isn't the kind of back to take over a game when you've got a lead. He's ok but not gonna win the tight game late.
I'm not looking forward to our trip to Ames, (lobe ball over our corners) but I think we'll have the advantage personnel wise overall.
But with Barney in your pocket and his desire to beat NU, who knows?

All three games we have played we have gone conservative in the second half. Now granted McCarney did go for it on 4th when he probably shouldn't have but we are supposed to have a pretty fucking good offense. Our D is young and inexperienced. We pretty much know that they will struggle. The offense has to step up or we are in some trouble. Cornhusker, you are right about Hicks. He's decent at best.

This might be my first serious post in here for quite some time but here goes (albeit a few days late).....

I am glad to see Clone fan in here. Damn good game, regardless of who you root for. Well played on both sides. 1 turnover and very few 2nd half penalties. I thought McCarney proved for the 100th (give or take a few) time in his career exactly why he NEVER should have been a head coach but stayed an assistant. His game management is horrible.

I am sick and tired of hearing how Mac made the right move of going for it on 4th and 10. That is fucking ridiculous. Of course you punt it away, regardless of the new clock rules. Mac knows Ferentz well enough to know that Iowa was going to run the ball and make ISU use their timeouts. So, the best Iowa was going to do was get 1 first down and maybe not even that. ISU probably would have gotten the ball back with 2-3 minutes and the ball at their own 30-35. That is plenty of time to drive down the field. No way in fucking hell am I risking the entire game on a 4th and 10 when it's not necessary. Bad move.

I would like someone explain to me exactly why McCarney had no confidence in his offense to drive down field at the end of the first half to try and bring the momentum back to their side but then all of a sudden he has confidence in his offense to pick up 10 yards on a crucial play? He's contradicting himself.

Also, where the fuck was the play of "Blythe deep?" I don't know that we could have covered that especially with Paschal out.

On a positive note for ISU, they showed they can go on the road and compete with a good team. I know Iowa is not playing their best ball, but we NEVER are at this point in time. Actually, we're looking a lot better in the middle of September than we ever have under Ferentz. But still, Iowa's a quality team right now. The big question for ISU will be answered Saturday because ISU has not played too well the game after Iowa in recent years and McCarney teams seem to always get stomped by teams like Texas- especially on the road.

As for Iowa, we made strides. We got ISU's best effort and we still came out with a victory.

Good game State, now if only you can take that effort towards the Big-12 games.
