If anyone here plays the online pc version of the game, they just came out with an update (actually it was a new release and not a patch) with some new maps and the ability to drive a hummer and shoot the javeline missle system at tanks. The version is 2.7 Overmatch.

New to the game this year is co-op maps in which 9-10 online gamers battle 20+ AI bots on a few maps. The AI range in skill with some having amazing aim, making it difficult to dominate.

For those who don't know, the game is 100% free to d/l and play.. you need a decent system to play (graphics card and processor) but the game is worth it.. much better than BF2 in my opinion.

They also have a new 'radar' like compus which they call a situational awareness indicator making comms between teammates more important.

The new maps are nice.. one is a desert map in which you have to raid a compound protected by tanks meaning you have to take them out with the javeline or other missle system on the humvey.

Another is a jungle map which I have not played.

The 3rd map is a normal map with no AI.. but it's more vertical with lots of sniping action.

If you're interested in trying out the game, you'll have to d/l the game and install but there is an option to just join a few select maps with an assigned nickname to see if you like the game.

Overall it is probably their best release to date and they have plans to move to a new game engine in roughly a year or so.

Overall, great game, lots of fun and lots of killing.
