Holy crap I don't have the heart to ride your asses anymore. I'm guessing this season can't get over fast enough.

I can already picture this one playing out...

A couple of drunk-asses were blocking Rufus in the road. He rolls down the window and yells at them. They, being drunk, feel bulletproof. Rufus disagrees. Rufus shows them the guns. They, being drunk, "ask" him to take the guns off of safety. He, being Rufus, and probably not pleased with recent developments, obliges. Guys get ass kicked, Sooners get asses piled on. Super.

Wow. I wasn't too far off.

Apparently, Rufus has a buddy in the car that got out to handle the business for him, as many football players do when they go out, and Rufus, rather than let that happen, tried to stop his friend, so HE got out, and then the cops came running over, even going so far as to tackle the guy that was in the way of the car in the first place... giving him a black eye when they tackled him, and arresting everybody, even though their altercation never (allegedly) got physical. Although, at the end of things, apparently Rufus DID take some issue with being arrested, which, if he was trying to help break up the fight, makes sense to me.

Over-Zealous Norman cops. Who'd have thunk it?

Although some of the other details seem a little shady to me... Like their not being able to find the police report now. ("I think that two reports with the same number were filed." -- Oh really, then why can't you find ONE of them?) But, this sounds to me like the cops being too aggressive and then too proud to admit it.

What a renegade program that is turning into. See if you followed the lead of your southern rival more, they'd be too high to start fights.

I'd been following that lead for years. It never really got me anywhere... Now I follow no leads and everything's working out. Weird.
