Teams that will take Barry
A's
Giants
Nobody else would be stupid enough to do that to their fans. Sure Barry would help the Cards hitting behind Albert Pujols, but Barry would get booed louder than Kenny Rogers trotting to first one flap down after leaning into a pitch.

Billy Beane does not chase big name free agents when there are cheaper alternatives who can provide the same offensive production.

Big Frank definitely won't play for that discounted price he played for this past year. He slugged his way back to being potentially a $10 million player.

Wrong.
I think the Angels would try to snag him in a heartbeat.
If that happens, I become a Dodger fan forever.
I fucking hate Barroid.
EDIT....
Mother. Fuck.

Despite the fan hatred, I could see the O's considering that swollen-headed piece of shit. This is the organization that will do anything for a buck. Letting Ripken drag on two years too long, signing Albert Belle, and bringing back Palmeiro. Barroid would fit right in with the likes of Roidie, Tejada, and Brady Anderson.

I could see Steinbrenner making a pitch for him as well, if only because he'd be afraid that Barry might wind up with the Mets or Red Sox otherwise.
By your standard, then, that would make you not a real Angels (or baseball) fan.Raydah James wrote:I think the Angels would try to snag him in a heartbeat.

Christ, you're a dumbfuck.
So if i'm extremely pissed that my most hated player in history ends up on my team, im not a baseball fan?
Seriously, Its impossible to learn the level of stupid you were born with.

I said Steinbrenner would do it. I didn't say he should. The fact that he kept Sheffield, if anything, proves my point.Raydah James wrote:Says the yankee fan who couldnt comprehend why in the world Sheffield was kept......Terry in Crapchester wrote:I could see Steinbrenner making a pitch for him as well, if only because he'd be afraid that Barry might wind up with the Mets or Red Sox otherwise.

(And btw, I didn't even really say Steinbrenner would do it, only that he might. Steinbrenner has made plenty of stupid moves over the years.)
Says the guy who can't understand the difference between me opining that Steinbrenner would do something and me advocating that Steinbrenner should do something.Christ, you're a dumbfuck.
Are you really this stupid, or are you just trying real hard?So if i'm extremely pissed that my most hated player in history ends up on my team, im not a baseball fan?
You'll notice I said by your standards. I previously mentioned, in another thread, that I'm no longer a Dallas Cowboys fan because the franchise changed owners, changed coaches and in the process, changed its entire persona, and that earned me a salvo from you that I'm not a football fan. Bonds joining the Angels would be small potatoes by comparison.

I got that. Of course, I haven't rooted for the Cowboys in a long time. I root for the Niners now, and I've stuck with them even though Joe Montana is long gone and they've sucked for several years now.

Bonds should go the Boggs route and goto Tampa Bay, if they dont trade Crawford and sign one of the top pitchers on the market they could contend for the wild card plus if/when he breaks the record it might be only meaningful thing to happen to the Rays since conception.

Why did you trade Jay Buehner? He hits 40 HR's per year, and he has a cannon for an arm.Laxplayer wrote:Sincerely, Jay Buehner for Ken Phelps.Steinbrenner has made plenty of stupid moves over the years.)

What would lead you to that conclusion?Trampis wrote:Something about Bavasi leads me to believe he is more ego then common sense.
Sincerely,
The Mo Vaughn, Rickey Henderson, Lee smith, Tony Philips, Rex Hudler and Eddie Murray signings/trades.
Dude loves nothing more than a washout-especially if they're aged.
Hey, dont forget about me!
Sin,
Trading J.T. Snow for Alan Watson
Bavasi is a fucking moron. Period.
The only thing he is semi-decent at is drafting. Angelfan rejoiced when that fuckbag was kicked to the curb.
