Why is it every year Cal is hyped up and mentioned as a national player. I know they are considerably better that they were 5 years ago, but they still have not really done squat except lose 3-4 games a year. Tedford is supposed to be genious, but Holiday Bowl as a crowning achievement does not equal genious. That is a middle of the road team and yearly bowl participant but nothing more.

The very BEST thing about m2's meltdown is that the replays CLEARLY showed that the refs got every last reviewed call dead nuts correct.
Jarrett NEVER had control of that pass. It was coming out, clearly, before he ever controlled it. The defender got HIS arm on the ball and prevented it from falling to the ground by pressing it into Jarrett's body, who still had no control over it. Finally, the ball fell away from both players with Jarret never having had any control whatsoever over the ball.
Incomplete pass. No brainer.
Marshawn's phantom TD? Dude's knee was so clearly down that even Marshawn himself grabbed his helmet and trudged back onto the field after he saw the replays on the scoreboard.
Meanwhile, USC had one of their TDs called back on a penalty, which m2 conveniently forgot to mention.
m2, you're a grown man. Isn't it time for you to at least once in your life show some class and dignity in defeat? God knows you've had ample opportunities to learn how and the bottom line here is your offense got SHUT THE FUCK OUT from the middle of the second quarter on.

3 turnovers to zero turnovers for USC (and you're VERY lucky it wasn't five turnovers since we whiffed on two more of your fumbles that we easily should've recovered), just like I TOLD you would happen when you had to play a real team in a pressure game on the road.
Marshawn had zero TDs, 20 carries and only 88 yards. He was held in check.
Desean Jackson was competely eliminated as a factor.
Your offense got OWNED, m2, and USC stepped up at Winning Time and did what they had to do to win, comfortably. They completely controlled all facets of the game in the second half. Basically, once the fog started rolling in I smiled to myself. The Coliseum ghosts were coming, and you were never in the game again.
Show some class in defeat, m2, just once. Admit the better team won, handily, and admit that they deserved to win.
Hey, if it'll help you out, you could at least take solace in the fact that Cal's now won three of the last six they've played at the Coliseum! At the rate you're going it'll still be another ten years or so before that stat will start to ring as hollow even to you as it already rang to everybody else before today's game...

Jarrett never had his hands on the ball, it was held to his chest by the Cal defneder whoes arms were wrapped around Dwayne and not allowing him to get his hands on the ball.
Suppose now youre going to say that although every camera angle showed Lynch's knee was down, that was just USC film school trickeration
Dont forget USC had a TD called back because Patrick Turner was reaching up to put his mouth piece in his mouth when the ball was snapped
This was a clean game with no chippiness and no stupid stuff, even the Cal fans were well behaved this time compared to years past at the Coli (must have been the lack of beer sales)
USC made the better adjustments at half time (as usual) and just played with more intensity in the second half.
