Are the Aggies for real?

Post by indyfrisco »

As a non-biased fan (yeah, right), I think the Ags are lined up for a great season. Last year, we took heat for playing no one OOC yet we still hqad an impressive showing in the tourney losing on a luck shot by LSU that would have sent us to the 16.

I ask this only of Big XII Fan...do you think A&M is overrated? If so, why? Also, if so, who in the XII deserves to be ranked higher and why?

1) No, I don't think you're over-rated.

2) Kansas should be ranked higher. In spite of the loss to ORU, Kansas has more talent at almost every position than aTm. After that, I believe aTm is quite probably the 2nd best team in the conference.

I'm sure several in here might disagree, but that's my opinion on things.

I think Law-Jones should be the best outside-inside combo in the conference. I don't think ATM is overrated but i'm not sure how good the league is as a whole (a lot of new coaches/turnover--5 new coaches: out Sampson, Sutton, Snyder, Wooly, and Wayne what's his name at ISU): IN--Sutton, Mcdermott, Huggy, Capel, and Anderson). Kansas is talented, Texas is really young (Durant looks like a stud), OSU is kind of a mystery with Sutton but has some players and Curry. I think at the end of conference play there's gonna be a sackful of 5-11 to 7-9 teams with Colorado bringing up the rear.

i think Law has a decent chance to be league POY--he or Jackson at Tech, if either can overcome the Kansas hype machine.

Gillespie's team will play good D and that should keep them in any tough conference road games or poor shooting nights. If i had to pick right now, though it's way too early to know much, I'd go with KU as the eventual champ and ATM runner-up....

As an overall fan of college hoops which does include the Big 12 I'll chime in with my 2 cents.

ATM isn't overrated in the least. They've got talent and a great young coach. Not to mention they'll actually have fans show up in force now to boost their homecourt advantage.

I think the Big 12 is down this year though but that doesn't diminish how good ATM is. I think Kansas is the class of the league still but ATM will battle for 2nd and likely finish no worse than 3rd.

a couple nice wins back to back over Kentucky and GTech Seer. props.

i think Tech has a chance to be pretty good down the road and also Memphis (who Tech beat)....they are inconsistant but freakishly athletic.

Mizzou is obviously the better team, just like on the grid-iron.... err

Then again, maybe not.

Yeah, KU definitely has more talent, but the thing is, the kids there know that and tend to take it for granted. Our game against KU is @ Kansas this year so that kind of sucks. Then again, it would be a hell of a statement if we were to win there.

And yes, the XII is down this year. Then again, the XII is always down in hoops. On a GREAT year, we have KU, OU, t.u., and maybe an OSU or Mizzou that is worth a shit. We're just a bad hoops conference...but getting better.

Nope...getting buttfucked by LSU means we AREN'T for real.

Not looking forward to the UCLA ass raping this weekend.

Seer, ole luth will need to get that $ deposited. I'll probablybe adding another jar to the order after Saturday.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't LSU the first real road game for aTm?? If so, a loss doesn't mean you aren't for real.

If your post is sarcastic.........well, you got me!

Yes, this was our first real test and it was on the road. However, I felt we had a better team than LSU. I didn't get to see the game, but I went over the play-by-play online and we just were never really in it.

I'm not giving up on my team. I still think we will win the XII. I just hate to see us play LSU and then UCLA back-to-back on the road, and losing, and it kill the momentum of this team right before conference play.

After watching Kansas continue to run their pointless, pathetic offense against USC, you may be right.

Actually, I was worried about this game a couple of weeks ago...but we been playing like crap and winning by 20....granted not against powerhouses...

Should be a good barometer game prior to conference for both teams...

Send the sauce.

Well, looks like you win the bet, Seer.

I really need Luth to make the deposit so I can send all your sauce at the same time. Once Luth deposits, I will send it all.

3 jars so let me know your flavor quantities. Mild, Med or Hot.

FWIW (little), Ass-To-Mouth is #31 in the Sagarins.

And the top-ten Washington team is #56.

Oregon is #8-btw.
