Apple Computer Networkig with PC

Post by indyfrisco »

My uncle wants a new computer for the family. His kids want an Apple. They currently have a Dell. They want to keep the Dell and hook up the Apple to the broadband internet via wireless router.

I have ZERO experience with Apple computers. They are going to want me to set this whole thing up. Is it possible to hook up an Apple computer to a wireless internet with the host being a Dell PC? I'm sure it is "possible". Is it easy though? I've set up many PC to PC wireless networks. Just never the Apple to PC.

If you're using a router it won't be an issue.

If the Apple will be a new computer, it won't be a problem. It will pick up whatever wireless network is in the house - all they'll need will be the password for that network.

A second Dell? Wise decision. I literally cannot think of a good reason to choose Mac.
