Jeff Garcia: speech coaching?

After the game yesterday, during an on-filed interview and post-game press conference, was the first time I think I've heard him speak in quite awhile. He seemed to have lost most of the lisp and is intentionally injecting an extra shot of testosterone in his voice. Did anyone else notice this? Serious replies only, please.

He's simply adopting the "when in Rome" philosophy. The lisp opened doors for him in Frisco. It'd get his ass kicked in Philly.

looking at the football side of things--
a lot of "experts" are trying to figure out
what the Eagles are doing right with Garcia in there
that they were not doing with McNabb !!
Certainly an interesting development along with the Bears
ability to win even when Graossman is so horrible !

Any points he gained from changing his voice were lost when he kissed Jeramiah Trotter on the helmet at the end of the game.

Wolfman, I find that interesting as well. From a football perspective, I'm not at all surprised with his success since taking over in Philadelphia. The guy is a gamer, and has the unique ability to both throw well and use his legs when he has to ('sup Vick, you piece of shit). He never had a chance in Cleveland. He was surrounded by shit. Not an Eagles fan, just think Garcia had gotten short-changed the last few years.
By the way, he IS a flaming homo. Just found it interesting to hear the difference in his speech yesterday.

It looks like a curious (pun intended?) situation in Phili.

It's racist. The rest of the Iggles' offense be doggin' it when McNabb is under center. It's a league-wide conspiracy against the black man.

Either that or it's homophobic and they can't wait to get out of their three point stance knowing a fag is behind them.

By the way, we've quickly gotten away from "serious replies only." Let's get back to Garcia. It seems like sometimes here that a thread starts on one topic and quickly shifts to a completely different topic.

Kind of like Jeff Garcia's tongue starting on one testicle and then quickly shifting to a completely different one ? That is, of course, if the totally unsubstantiated rumours about him being gay are true.

It's called sarcasm. I'm sure it's tough to see it through the chimes.

Garcia and Reid are seemingly made for each other. Garcia is a QB that makes plays while he's running around. Reid is a HC that refuses to develop a running game. These traits would seem to be a good match.

All Jeff Garcia does is win. The problem is, when playoff time arrives and he faces solid defenses, he just can't get over the hump. Wait... :D
As Ninerfan found out, Garcia is a dece enough QB, but he'll never be better than a 10-6 type of guy. He'll win
most of the time, but isn't quite good enough to get you to that next level. Basically, he's a modern day Don Strock.
As for Garcia being gay or not, at my last job I worked with an openly (flaming) gay guy who saw me wearing a 49ers jersey on a casual Friday and got so excited that he almost burst into sunshine. He told me how he was friends with the Garcia family and that several times a year Jeff would fly him up from SoCal to SF to see home games in a skybox. Evidently he didn't want me to think he was full of crap, so a few days later he brought in one of those game balls that Garcia was given where they paint the top half white and have the stats of the game on the ball. Now I'm not insinuating that Garcia was plugging this dude, expecially since this dude was already sampling another kielbasa within the company, just that at the very least they thoroughly enjoyed each other's company.

They ran the ball more than they threw the ball on Sunday. The reason why Garthia is doing so well is b/c of Marty Morneinwhig (sp?).
Incidently if Garthia is gay, what does it make his fiancee?

Props to both Garcia and Joey on getting out of 'the D' and pushing for playoff spots with their new clubs. I'd love to see the Eagles and Dolphins in the playoffs so it further shows it wasn't their fault the Lions are so god-awful.

McnAbb was not losing games for them- their D, special teams and play calling were. McNabb was the 1st or 2nd (can't remember which) ranked QB when he got hurt. He lost them 1 game this year- the game against TB when he gave up the INT's to Barber. Other than that- he has been good (anyone remebr the MVP talk before he got hurt?)- but had a D that wasn't tackling shit, a special teams unit that was giving the opposing teams at least the 40 in starting position every time and a coach that insisted on throwing the ball 70-75% of the time. Since he went out, Andy handed the play calling over 100% to MArty, the D is stepping up (finally) and special teams is tightening up.

If Garcia delivers the goods, what happens to McNabb ?

Nothing.... He is the franchise Qb here... and rightfully so. Garcia only has a 1 year contract.. if he likes his backup role- they resign him.. or goes to some other team without an offensive line (I.E- Cleveland or Detroit) and gets pummeled again.

I told my Dallas Fan father in law to look up, in the hopes an Eagle would drop a giant bird turn in his eye
Actually I was pulling for Tiki but apparently his teammates were not.
How many years have I been saying "WAR Next Year".
Go Skins.

Campbell has been impressing me a little more each week.. by next year- you may actually have a starting QB.

As a Falcon fan, I am terrified of the prospect of Atlanta having to go into Philly on New Year's Eve (talk of it being the night game) and having to beat the Eagles to get in the playoffs. The only thing scarier, is assuming that they'll beat the "our season's over so let's buttfuck Atlanta in the mouth on our way out" Panthers, first.
I went to the playoff game in 2003(?) when Atlanta played in Philly. It was a night game, and those fucks were tailgating since 6 AM. Goodamn, what an ugly site that was.

In my opinion we need an O-Line and depth at the O-Line. We should be able to have Sonny J come out of retirement and sit back there. But yeah I like what I've seen with Campbell.

You'd think that an NFL QB (even a backup) would be able to find a lover with a big dick.
