Sounds mighty "smelly" to me.How many can say the Prime Minister of Canada was your matchmaker? John Weissenberger and Angela Tu-Weissenberger definitely can.
Mr. Weissenberger, who was recently hired as the new chief of staff to Citizenship and Immigration Minister Diane Finley (Haldimand-Norfolk, Ont.) is Prime Minister Stephen Harper's (Calgary Southwest, Alta.) best friend. A former geologist with Calgary-based Husky Oil, Mr. Harper introduced Mr. Weissenberger to his wife, Ms. Tu Weissenberger, an economist and Calgary consultant, while the three were graduate students at the University of Calgary.
Mr. Weissenberger was not available for an interview last week with The Hill Times.
