This was a wonderful win for UM. I don't remember when I've been more proud of a UM team (post '97). The way the defense hung in and refused to let PSU into the endzone was incredible. There's no two ways about it, we've got PSU's number. Nine in a row!!
That said....UM is not as bad as week 1 and 2. PSU is not the 10th best team in the nation. These teams were at best/worst evenly matched. What the fuck happened vs. App. St happened, we cannot put the toothpaste back in the tube. To hold this club together after an historic defeat (the Oregon loss is tolerable in and of itself) and perform like champions vs. ND and PSU, hats off! Notice served to the Big10, we aint dead yet!
Questions to be answered.....
-Will Henne be "Wally Pipped"?
-Will Lloyd run the table and win the Big10?
-Will Hart continue this pace?
-Will "The Game" be for the conf. Championship?
The nationwide pile on was fun for the haters while it lasted, but there's a lot of pride in AA. Don't think for one second that any future opponent is taking UM lightly. Who matches up well with Michigan the rest of the way?
I know it's early, but I smell a nice run of W's. There are still top flight atletes in maize and blue, we'll get 8 or nine more wins out of this campaign.
Go Blue!!!
