Chris Weinke???

Post by BSmack »

The Vikings are looking at bringing in Chris Weinke to be Brooks Bollinger's backup.

AP might just as well stick a bullseye in his back. With those two QBs, he can look forward to 9 man fronts ALL DAY.

Speaking of Heisman "busts" --

Weinke wasn't a "bust" for the usual Heisman QB reasons. Weinke was a "bust" because he was about 40 freaking years old by the time he was in the draft.

Hell, the guy had freaking retired as a professional baseball player before he ever showed up at FSU.

Heck, where's Akili Smith and all the other QBs who were 35 years old on Draft Day?

OK... upon further review, Weinke is 35 now. I remember he was older than dirt when he won the Heisman.

Why would a Minnesota QB signing æffect a RB on the Bears?

So is my grandmother, and she died in 1980. I could probably forge her signature on a contract when the Vikes come calling, though.

Looks like Wienke couldn't even beat out Koy Detmer for the Vikes backup job. Still a bust.
