So Chargerfan

Do you think yesterdays win vindicates Norvy as a HC, or does he have to beat the colts to get removed from the "Not One Real postseason Victory" list?

WTF are you talking about? Shottenhiemer got the Dolts to the Divisional round last year. Now if they beat the Colts next week, then you have something to talk about.

Norvelous shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Marty Schottenheimer. Marty's regular season record and number of times he got his teams to the postseason speak for themselves. Ignorant players (sup' Marlon McCree) and bad refs have generally screwed him in the playoffs.
mvscal wrote:How many playoff games did Douchenbagger win?
More than Norvelous has.

He's won 5 games. Not exactly stellar, but better than Norv's 2 wins.

Marty didn't win shit in San Diego.
And so far Norv has gotten the Bolts right back to where Marty had them last year. Minus the home field "advantage" of course.

..considering the opponent and Antonio Gates available, I don't think a loss (a blowout notwithstanding) to the Colts would taint Norv's reputation much However, a win over Indy, (a better squad than the Bolts) at Indy would remove Norv from your list.

Even though Norv isn't the most creative, he PLAYED TO WIN THE GAME yesterday. Marty would have kicked the field goal and put in the prevent and Tenn would have scored. San Diego would not be happy with that. I know Marty was in tears and happy for his guys yesterday. Chargerfan has moved on.

^^^^^ Rack

That's exactly what Marty would have done.

Norv still has much to prove in this Charger Fans eyes, but the comeback win in Ten earlier this season was huge, and the team seems to be coming together.

Chargertard is verrah amusing.

Last year the Blots were 4th in total offense and 10th in total defense.
This year they were 20th in total offense and 14th in total defense.

Last year they went 14-2.
This year they went 11-5.

And the 11-5 was accomplished this year by beating up on an ass-weak division.

Your team has REGRESSED under pineapple head.

You got over at home on a very .... blah .... Teet.an team at home in the wildcard round.
Great job!

Check back and hand in your evaluation of Norv after this weekend's game.

Yeah, the Raiders suck.
Nobody noticed.

Great retort, Evel.

Good luck v. the Clots.

Yes, that is an improvement over the Shittenheimer era.
You do understand that obtaining a first round bye IS equivalent to winning a playoff game? Do you?

Enjoy watching your team get slaughtered this weekend.

No, it isn't. Not in any way shape or form.
Yea, it is. And unless the Bolts win this week, Norv will have not have surpassed Marty's job last year. EOS.

It most certainly is equivalent to a game. In fact, it is better than having to play a game. That's why teams will fight for the privilege of having a first round bye.

So your telling me that battered and bruised players do not want a week off? Coaches do not want an extra week to prepare?

You can't win or lose during a bye week, you fucking dipshit. It isn't the same thing.
A tough schedule?

If you had just taken a look at next year's draft order, you would know that the Chargers had the 12th EASIEST schedule in the NFL.

NFL Draft Order

But seriously, Props to Norv for turning a 14-2 #1 overall seeded team into an 11-5 wild card team and getting the fans of said team to believe he's improved their lot.

The fact remains that the Chargers had an easy schedule AND that the relative easy/difficulty of scheduling is determined AFTER the teams play the games, not BEFORE.
Out of the 10 non-division games, 5 of them were against playoff bound teams.
And they went 2-3 in those games. Niiiice. ;)

Yeah, I'm sure the "princesses" in NE, IND, DAL, and GB were pretty pissed off at the NFL that they didn't get to play last week.
