BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Erie County District Attorney Frank Clark says Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch will plead guilty next week to an unspecified charge stemming from the hit-and-run accident involving his SUV.

Clark says the plea is based on the fact Lynch was driving, but he declined to detail the charge. The tentative deal was announced Friday after days of negotiations between prosecutors and lawyers for Lynch and the Bills.

It comes as a grand jury was scheduled to begin hearing testimony in the case. Several Bills players and front-office employees had been subpoenaed.

Lynch's 2008 Porsche Cayenne hit a woman crossing a Buffalo intersection early May 31 and drove off, leaving the victim with a bruised hip and in need of stitches.

Lynch's lawyer did not immediately comment.
Nice work, Marshawn. You see, when you're driving in these things called automobiles and you HIT someone, it isn't football...you're supposed to STOP you fecking moron.

How many points was the pedestrian worth? Better have been a lot or it's just not worth it to run someone over.

Marshawn: I'm sorry -- but I didn't know I hit somebody

LINK to the Buffalo News article.

And here's Lynch's statement, a PDF.

My thoughts.....

1. It was dark

2. It was 3:30 am.

3. It was raining.

4. He was playing his music loudly.

5. A woman was singing and dancing in front of his car (according to witnesses).

6. He didn't stop after hitting the woman (according to witnesses and, I believe, a police camera).

7. His car was found in his own driveway by police.

8. No alcohol was found in his car.

9. A woman claims Lynch was drinking water before the accident.

10. According to news reports, there's been no indication by police that they had witnesses who saw him drinking that night. (And people would definitely have been noticed.)

Now based on all that, either Lynch is telling the truth or he was lying and SO MANY things just happened to go his way.

That wasn't the question, 2.37. Here's the question that eluded you once again...

It references more than one thought.... such as "he didn't do it".

You really can't help yourself, can you 2.37 ???

That submit button is like an "anal itch" to you that needs scratchin' before it turns into a full-blown smear campaign on "Fruit of the Loom".

That's one company's "stock" that we can be rest assured of being in the black.... at least in the greater Pittsburgh area.

Does it really matter if he was drinking alcohol or not? I didn't see anyone claiming as much here. We're talking hit and run. Dude should be "Lynched" for being a stain of a human being hitting someone with his car and driving away.
