Heading into his senior year of high school...Tyler Gabbert, younger brother of Blaine Gabbert, is a solid verbal for Nebraska's 2010 recruit class. Oregon and quite a few others pursued this kid hard. Rumor is he emailed Cal and told them not to bother contacting him, what with Jake Heaps headed that way and all.
Here's hoping he doesn't defect ala big bro Blaine.
Blaine bolted when BC was on the outs and the future of Watson(who has a good relationship with the Gabberts) was in plenty of doubt. Pelini and Watson are secure so the scenarios are different. I guess Watson could get a job offer after the season but from what I've been told he's holding out for something pretty good.
Tyler doesn't have Blaine's size but he's a polished qb and a hell of a competitor, I see him as a Todd Reesing type.
You gonna bark all day little doggie or are you gonna bite?

I hear you on the size difference, but keep in mind he's only a junior in HS. He might add a couple inches next year and a couple more by the time he's a senior in college. Not to mention the training table and workouts. I hope Watson sticks around 3 to 4 more years. I think by then, Pelini will have the Huskers vying for an MNC.
