This sounds like it might be a case of police corruption. With that officer being promised something by the driver of the Altima. We like to think all officers are upright and looking out for the public good but there are some out there who go over to the dark side if the price is right. If you are a good citizen you should pursue this as much as you can Toddowen. If not you then who? Think of it that way.

Sounds like the cops did a fairly shitty investigation. Also sounds like you might have been a shitty witness, todd. Ofcourse you didn't "see" that this dickhead didn't have his lights on. You didn't see it cause you didn't see him.....because his fukking lights were off. You should have 'spailed that a little better initially.

Even if this douche didn't have his lights on, i find it hard to believe that such a place, in front of a motel and a chain pizza joint would be so dark that an unlit car could just appear out of no where. the little pizza honey did fukk up. she should have saw him.

my guess that it was not so dark is backed up by the fact that gordon gecko was driving with his lights off. i have accidentally done this on occasions in well lit areas where your headlights provide zero help in seeing. i've never done it on a dark road as it would result in saying holly shit, i can't see where i am going.

overall, i'd say they both fukked up. unfortunately, the law doesn't do ties. someone has to be liable.

as for being subpoenaed, how does that work? If he is summoned from across the country who pays the freight?
