Just when you thought the folks running what used to be the largest auto manufacturer on the planet couldn't get any stupider, they roll out this little bit of marketing brilliance. I guess this sort of moronic shit happens when you are gubmint motors.
WTF?
GM, if you are concerned about "branding consistency" whatever the fukk that is, how 'bout you worry about things like making cars that are not shit. You've actually been making decent stuff as of late and almost caused me to buy a new malibu.
They have always been chevies to me and will continue to be.
Fukk you.
I am not in the market for a new ride these days, but if I was, I'd go down to the local Chevy dealer....wait....it's shut. I'd go down to the not too far away chevy dealer and inform the chevy pimp that if at any time he referred to his product as a chevrolet, I would walk straight out the door.
I suspect you will see this worst automotive marketing decision since the edsel, be rescinded after the inevitable avalanche of chevy guys telling them to GFT.
