Rats. Chargers just took the lead. In other words, mvscal will be in to comment on the game shortly.

Once again special teams doing everything they possibly can to lose the game. Unfortunately for the Raiders they suck too badly to capitalize. Barring any further special teams miscues (a likely possibility yes I know), the second half will be a boat race.
Rivers is assraping the Raiders' secondary.

I thought it was 290. Anyway...it was A LOT. Even Gumby Assomoi is getting plungered.

Jesus fuck....another big return?!? At least it didn't go back for a TD. This has got to be the worst special teams play ever.

I'm sure it was. Jim Nantz said 248. I blame him.
BTW, how awesome is it that Rivers just threw for 300yds in a half, when crybaby Vincent Jackson's only leverage is the offense sucking.

All the more amusing considering he has two DUIs, is facing a four game suspension and is a tequila shot away from missing an entire year.
The only thing he's got in the bag is a really bad agent.

Yep. I've been watching it on tvbr.com since it's blacked out locally (shocker). Some feed from Britain. Only thing is that they break into the game and go to an NFL Live-type program periodically during the coverage. There's a black anchor with a heavy ghetto accent, a white jock and a limey color/stats guy. They're actually fairly knowledgeable, but I could do without pausing the game once a quarter for 10-minutes of analysis.

Ditto, Scott....the Blots even got jobbed on that fumble call at the end of the game. Damn I love it when a plan comes together!

Desperate times call for desperate measures.
It was a fumble, Paul.
TrOt yourself out a lap.
Seriously can't believe the zebras didn't figure out a way to hose the Raiders on that play.
Had to be a 10/10/10 thing.

So, with the seven year Charger monkey off their backs the Raiders should now have a clear path to the Super Bowl, or maybe even a .500 season.

Sucks to be in Sacramento this past week. Raiduhs never sell out so the game was blacked out. Probably a good thing actually. I watched it on NFL.com...play by play stats...
Props to the Raiduhs, they suck, but they played hard and took advantage of the Bolts horrifying special teams....not to worry, Norv said they would "get it fixed"....wait, he said that after the KC loss...wait, he said it after the Seattle loss...GET THE SUCKER FIXED ALREADY NORV! If the Duh's staff picked it up on film, can't your staff find the problem Norv? Well, after 3 special team loses, I guess that's a rhetorical question, my bad.
600+ total yards of offense and we lose?
BTW..did I say props to the Duh's?..where's James?

Saw the Bolts' "washed up" former RB have a nice game with the Jets last night. Wonder how he's able to produce for the Jets when he pretty much couldn't anymore with the Chargers.

What's unfortunate about that? He's one of best GMs in the league. The team is well stocked with talent. He routinely finds free agent gems and doesn't bend over when players make ridiculous demands.

Top GMs don't hire Norv Turner. Top GMs don't allow holdout situations like the Vincent Jackson affair to get this far out of hand and Top GMs don't fire 14-2 head coaches just because 'lil A.J. got some sand in his vagina.
Tell me again, how many games have the Chargers sold out this year?

At the time he really didn't have much choice. Douchenbagger was well aware that the Spanos' weren't comfortable with his nepotism. They were gracious enough to allow him to hire one close relative. Then he comes back a few years later issuing ultimatums to management demanding that they hire his brother. That kind of chicken shit never plays and, for the record, it was Dean Spanos who fired Douchenbagger not Smith.
Marty wasn't some innocent bystander in all this. Even after yet another playoff choke they offered him a one year extension at $4.5 mil which Douchy flatly rejected.
Norv was about the only guy out there who was available on short notice and, to be fair, he hasn't done too bad of a job. He has had more success than Marty did anyway. He might not be the greatest head coach out there but he is an offensive wizard and that is the strength of the team.

What the fuck are you babbling about? Out of hand? For Jackson maybe. The offense hasn't missed a beat without him, in fact, they are even better without him.

Huh?
Oops sorry, wrong underachiever.
Say what?
Unfortunately for Charger fans, it is not the last year of A.J. Smith running the show.
AJ Smith is probably the best thing that has happened to the Chargers in the last 20 years. Before him the Bolts had little talent and terrible coaches (minus Bobby Ross). Sure he had hold outs this year, but he can't sign players to long term contracts unless the owner opens ups his check book. Basically I put much of the blame on this years special teams abomination on the fact Spanos wanted to make as much money as possible, leaving AJ no choice but to let a number of role players walk & be replaced by rookies. Leaving San Diego with the 8th lowest roster salary in the league, something that is a first (& hopefully last) in the Philip Rivers era.
As for Vjax, the Chargers made up their minds not to sign him to a long term deal after his 2nd DUI. A situation that won't go away no matter which team he tries to negotiate with.
BTW..did I say props to the Duh's?..where's James?

The real problem is injuries. They're working on their fourth long snapper this season after losing the first three to injury. There have also been a lot injuries in the linebacking corps and a lot of special teamers are having to step into starting roles on defense.
Losing Kassim Osgood has hurt but he was never going to make it as a receiver in San Diego and the Faguars were willing to give him a shot.

I expect the '9ers to notch their first win of the season this week v. Oakland.
'NINERS - 27
'DUHS - 21

13 straight wins over the 'duhs - the kid has obviously never seen his Blots lose to them.
Oakland is a tap-in, says his brain.
