and the Texans need defensive help BAD.
Word on the street is everyone for the Raiders is on the block. If I'm the Texans, I'm offering a first and 3rd for Scrabble AND I'm offering a 4th and Slaton for Haynesworth. This is the year they need to make a serious push. The current personel in the secondary isn't ready. They are young or stupid. IMO, Scrabble is the lockdown corner this team needs to make a push for the playoffs. God, I hope the Texans make a move.

A 1 and a 3 for Asomugha?
WOAH!!
Done.
Actually would be difficult to trade him even if Oakland wanted to.
Very heavy contract for someone to take on.

So what? Its an uncapped year. There is no reason not to take on Alphabet Soup if it would make your team a contender.poptart wrote:Actually would be difficult to trade him even if Oakland wanted to.

SInce the Raiders lost their 1 to Pats, I would make that trade for Asomugha. I would offer the 1. They need it. I would trade Slaton and a 4th for Haynesworth. This needs to be done and with the bye week, we could get them acclimated to the system. Losing DeMeco is tough but this would help....big time.Go Coogs' wrote:and the Texans need defensive help BAD.

B, true in theory, but uncapped doesn't mean that an owner doesn't have his own cap.
We all know that some owners have huge revenue streams and huge willingness to hand out the cayesh, and others do not.
Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Nnamdi moved, although right now it would leave the secondary very thin and shaky.
Oakland's not going anywhere anyway this season, imo.
Get back that 1st round pick they gave up for Seymour.

Of course the owners are colluding to keep player movement to a minimum. But this contract has already been signed and it is for a player that is one of only 2 true shutdown corners in the game. If McNair doesn't make that deal, he is saying to his team's fans that he doesn't want to win.poptart wrote:B, true in theory, but uncapped doesn't mean that an owner doesn't have his own cap.

McNair will spend the dough if fed the right information. The problem is Rick Smith and Kubiak could be feeding him some bullshit about the development of the secondary is a process and they will get better as the season continues. I've said this before, McNair is a great owner in the aspect that he trusts the people he hires to do the job and do what is in the best interest for the team. His philosophy is very laissez-faire; however, this would be the time for him to step in and make the move himself. I don't have a problem with and owner doing that every once in a while.poptart wrote:B, true in theory, but uncapped doesn't mean that an owner doesn't have his own cap.

Scrabble and Haynesworth are there for the taking. Make the fucking call.

He's pretty good but vastly overrated and a complete joke for the money he's being paid. Only an idiot would pay that.BSmack wrote:Of course the owners are colluding to keep player movement to a minimum.
