I saw this story and many things were alarming, but one statistic stuck out as, well, almost unbelievable.
So of course I
had to post it here.
The almost unbelievable statistic is this:
4% of black U.S. high school students are proficient in science.
FOUR fucking percent!!
FOUR percent??
Only FOUR percent of h.s. darkies even rise to the level of being merely
proficient?

Based on personal experience, I'd say that 4% would be about the national average for all ethncities (besides Asians of course).

"The Program of International Student Assessment which assesses different types of literacy found that that the United States ranked 13th out 34 developed countries.
China, Korea, Finland, Singapore, and Canada topped the international rankings."

Take a look at the USA's racial demographic statistics vs. the countries ahead of them and tell me what you see. The fact we are 13th shocks me. I would have guessed around 25 or so.

I think it is because of the SEC, us going 6-6 in the SEC is a lot more impressive than say 10-2 in the South Asia Conference.
