Good thing an Aggie wasn't involved or he might have whipped out a switchblade comb. What a couple of douches, but you have to give props to the Sooner fan who pulled out a knife and then preceded to get poked by it later in the fight.

The last knife fight where to OU "fan" who cut the Texass guys balls off turned out to be an Oklahoma State grad.

kind of stuff happened all the time before they closed Commerce Street in the early 90's (after someone died). the biggest, annual, long-form bar fight on the planet, they used to say. one year there was an impromptu football game that lasted on Commerce Street for hours (after the DFW routinely hit the Sooner-Horn crowd with the customary 2 AM firehoses). However, instead of a football, they used empty Jack bottles as the pigskin.
the official terminology for that particular "genre" of crowd-gathering in the police vernacular was "melee".
