No shit. A tiny shaker and it's the end of the world.

A little rain & wind, end of the world pt. 2.

although in their defense, it's the media that is guilty of turning an event into a catastrophy.

The media is taking their orders from the White Hut. Hussein is just dying for a disaster...any disaster to strut his "leadership" and, of course, distract attention away from the real disaster: his administration.

yesterday on one of the news channels they were already running out an explanation for the 3rd quarter GDP officially putting us back in recession. they were saying that reduced economic output blamed on the storm could cause it.

poor fukkin' barry just can't catch a break. now g0d is causing the recession.

Not at all. Just a simple observation...
Obama takes charge at hurricane command center

US President Barack Obama warned the US east coast was in for a "long 72 hours" as he led his government's response to Hurricane Irene at a disaster command center in Washington.

Obama on Saturday chaired a meeting at the National Response Coordination Center (NRCC) set up at the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) headquarters in Washington, which is marshaling federal and local hurricane-relief efforts.

"This is going to be a tough slog getting through this thing," Obama said during a video teleconference including senior federal officials and local government agencies in the east coast path of Irene.

Oooooo. The One has "taken charge"!! He has "chaired a meeting"!!! Hark! He has even blessed us with a "video conference with senior officials"!!

Praise Him, yea, with great praise for He is The One!

this whole week of events in DC area is eerily similar to the tv show The Event where the aliens could cause eathquakes to get our attention and the reason they wanted to bring their ppl here was because of a supernova threatening the other planet and this week NASA discovered a new supernova in the Pinwheel Galaxy. If anyone sees a portal opening up soon watch out

not over what Odumbfukk does. Just have experienced first hand what it is like to have a big shot politician in the area. it completely fukks up normal people's ability to move around. And I'm talking about just algore visiting his momma in nashville during rush hour. i suspect The One's impact on a small island is worse.

The cable media is getting butt-fukked in the mouf with Irene.

Residents are coming out mockingly in T-shirts and shorts while those fearless reporters are fighting the storm surge and brutal winds.

One infobabe on MSNBC was reporting about dangerous storm surge...while a ferry boat passed behind her.

The anchorbimbo was pissed off because Irene was downgraded to a tropical storm before it hit NYC, thereby denying them their moment of suffering.

I was wondering, is it some sort of FCC regulation that local news weather babe be 23-28 with at least a C cup and a polyester top that's a size too small?

Being a libertarian, I generally abhor such meddlesome regulations, but, I'm willing to make an exception in this case.

well, that fukking cunt went and knocked a branch off down the street, knocking out power.

looks like an easy enough fix, although they may not get to it for awhile.

2 miles away at my sis in laws, where there is still an abundant supply of electrons. fukkin bitch better not change this.

aren't these hurricanes supposed to have an eye where everything is nice and peaceful? haven't seen any trace of one with irene. and i do believe the center of the storm pretty much strolled up broadway, so you should have seen some pics. i'm guessing it is due to the fact that irene ain't really much of a storm.

that post ought to knock the power out here, too.

It's not a hurricane any longer, attention-whore.

Tropical storms don't have eyes.

Power was lost last night @ 10:45. Scariest part of the night was the tornado warnings in the area. Luckily I work 15 minutes away and my office building has back-up power and so I brought over some items from my fridge/freezer to store here. Can't beat the free coffee and internet either.

The hurricane stirred up 7-foot waves, and forecasters warned of storm-surge danger on the coasts of Virginia and Delaware, along the Jersey Shore and in New York Harbor and Long Island Sound.
7 WHOLE feet?

'Round here, we call that "calm seas."

I'm sure you would rather a President follow the Bush model of appointing incompetent people to head Homeland Security and FEMA and to then spend the day of the disaster delivering birthday cake to John McCain and pretending to play guitar with some second rate country band.

Are you fucking retarded?

This is such a great example of the liberal mindset -- "Since Bush did one thing, Obama doing something else means he's correct."

Because simple logic isn't in a liberal's arsenal.
