Old news.
I lived in Nashville from 95-98 and it was readily apparent then that being balck lower middle income there was better there than here. I guess you could say the same for white folks of that economic class. Much better integration in such neighborhoods there as well.
Being dirt poor or rich is pretty much the same everywhere.
