He released 23 years of tax returns to McCain when he was being considered for VP, but McCain chose Sarah Palin instead.
According to McCain, he chose Sarah Palin because "she was the better candidate." Maybe he was trying to help Romney out of hot water over his tax returns, but that explanation bodes even worse for Romney.

But Barry was running against a nightmare ticket of a corrupt egotistical war freak and a pathological liar--in the wake of the most horrific and damaging administration ever. Sure, lots of folks don't like Barry for all sorts of reasons. But everyone hates the robot from Kolob. Or what? Have you not noticed that no one has said anything good about him? Even the Limpdick and Hannity ass-clowns can't bring themselves to actually endorse him. So...what's your question?

Indeed. CBS/New York Times has BO trailing by one (and yes, within the margin of error).
I'd ask Jsc if he'd like to re-think his post - but it's clear he didn't think about it the first time before he posted it.
BTW, the president isn't exactly helping his own cause:
"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business, you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen."
As a small business owner, I was insulted by the arrogance and stupidity of Obama's statement. But I also realize it wasn't directed to folks like me - we aren't going to vote for him anyway.

I see. Are you refering to a "perception" being actively shaped by Bath House Barry's compliant media lapdogs by any chance?
I'll start taking these shrill demands for "transparency" seriously (where have these people been the last three and half years, btw?) when they put their money where their mouths are.
Meanwhile back at the ranch...
Most members of Congress keep their tax returns secret
Rep. Nancy Pelosi was emphatic. Mitt Romney's refusal to release more than two years of his personal tax returns, she said, makes him unfit to win confirmation as a member of the president's Cabinet, let alone to hold the high office himself.
Sen. Harry Reid went further: Romney's refusal to make public more of his tax records makes him unfit to be a dogcatcher.
They do not, however, think that standard of transparency should apply to them. The two Democratic leaders of the Senate and the House of Representatives are among hundreds of senators and representatives from both parties who refused to release their tax records. Just 17 out of the 535 members of Congress released their most recent tax forms
Honestly, I'd be more interested in seeing financial disclosure from people who are actually making laws rather than signing off on them. Needless to say, this kerfluffle has nothing whatsoever to do with transparency.

of course he has because he doesn't make that much money.....what pelosi and reid do is not particularly relevant to the presidential election

Nobody gives a flying fuck about Shitt Romney's tax returns. He's rich. We get it. I have no doubt Barry phoned the IRS to give him a complete financial colonoscopy. If there was anything illegal or even dodgy, it would have been plastered all over the news.

It's hilarious how conservatives think Mittens' tax returns are irrelevant while harping about Obama's birth certificate....even after he's released it.
And the tax returns of Romney are more important than Reid's or Pelosi's due to the simple fact that the former is trying to become by himself a branch of government. The latter are only a small fraction of a branch.
And I'm betting that Reid & Pelosi have released about as many tax returns as Issa & Bilbray.

Diego, it's highly doubtful that anything in Romney's tax returns could constitutionally prevent him from holding the office, which does happen to be the case regarding the implications behind Obama's supposedly forged birth certificate.
Bad comparison.
Otherwise, Nick and Marty are the two who have it the most right in this thread. Everyone can gnash their teeth and stamp their feet all they wish over every possible shortcoming of Barry's yet the fact remains that he only had to beat W's successor. Meanwhile, Romney simply can't inspire anything but the most tepid support even among hardcore Republican types.
His entire appeal can be summed up in five words: At least he's not Bush Obama.
Swear to god, it's as if each election lately there's a new AP comparison someone is using as a means to gain the Oval Office.

Don't get the wrong idea about what I said ealier. You shouldn't fuck off because you're a lefty wingnut and I'm trying to stifle opposing views or anything like that. You should fuck off because you're just...dumb.
If somebody has to explain to you that Reid and Pelosi as Senate Majority Leader and House Minority Leader are two of the four most powerful members of Congress who set the legislative agenda and promulgate the laws and regulations which govern the nation and are in a unique position to profit from prior knowledge of those laws even moreso than the President, then you are too stupid to participate in this discussion on any meaningful level.
So why don't you just hop into your 'Free Candy' emblazoned pedo van and drive yourself off a cliff, m'kay?
