Re: Gil Brandt's Top 25
This is perhaps the worst draft class for QBs I've ever seen.
Re: Gil Brandt's Top 25
And absolutely no agents compensated Mr. Brandt during the making of this list. No way, no how.
That never happens.

Re: Gil Brandt's Top 25
no fucking way.....alabama exposed his lack of speed on pass coverage coupled with all the missed tackles....he'll probably drop to the third round12) Manti Te'o, LB, Notre Dame: Te'o finished his senior season with 113 tackles and seven interceptions (that latter number is unheard of for a linebacker). He did not play well in the BCS Championship Game, but everything he's done in his career at Notre Dame overrides that.

Hoping the Chiefs trade down.

Where's Barrett Jones?

Packing his bags for San Diego hopefully.

Re: Gil Brandt's Top 25
He's got the size to play anywhere on the line. I like the versatility. The injury is certainly something to keep an eye on, but Matt Schaub doesn't appear to have suffered any lasting negative effects from his injury. I think Jones will OK but it is a nine or so month rehab.

If Dexter Clowney doesn't go in the first round, I'll be a monkey's uncle.
I don't see that Georgia QB anywhere on any lists, which is curious. If he drops to the 2nd or 3rd round, I hope the Chiefs snatch him up.

You mean Jadeveon Clowney of South Carolina?War Wagon wrote:If Dexter Clowney doesn't go in the first round, I'll be a monkey's uncle.
He'll go in the first round, alright... when he's eligible next year.
And you should pray for Mingo, for sure... pray your team gets him. Freaking beast.

The best and only good names on this list: John and Luke. Solid man names. And I'm agnostic. The rest of the names are horrible.

Dion, Eric, Alec, Kenny, Sam, Tyler, Montee (funny spelling, I guess), Terrence, Zach, and Kevin are "horrible"?trev wrote:The best and only good names on this list: John and Luke. Solid man names. And I'm agnostic. The rest of the names are horrible.

32. Manti Te'o, LB, Notre Dame: The rating is based on playing concerns alone since we don't yet know the whole story with the Internet hoax, and that's for NFL teams to decide. While Te'o is a rangy defensive player, one would like to see a 255-pound man avoid getting pushed around, as he did in the BCS title game against Alabama. Could be a special player in specific defenses (Cover- and Tampa 2 come to mind) with a strong locker room

5th round at best.

Re: 2013 Draft thread
what agent wrote this steaming pile of horseshit?Manti Te’o, MLB, Notre Dame: While nearly everyone in the media is smashing Te’o saying he had a terrible combine because he ran in the low 4.8’s and admitted he liked dudes, our sources tell us that those reports could not be farther from the truth. During the most of the remaining measured drills, Te’o was better than average and near the top in some. During the positional drills, Te’o proved that he is a good all-around athlete with smooth movement skills, not elite athleticism. But most importantly, Te’o stood out in team interviews displaying good leadership and football intelligence. Everyone we spoke to told us that they are confident after this week that he can be a solid starting linebacker in the NFL as either an MLB in a 43 defense or an ILB in a 34 scheme
it doesn't matter how good this cat interviewed or how well he did a 20 yard shuttle, or how high he jumped......lb's that run a 4.8+ 40 are at best a two down linebacker that can't cover TE's or RB's.....and unless he can lop off about 3/10 of a second off that time (highly unlikely) he'll be lucky to be a 2 down backer.....
I'll stick with my 3rd round at best although I know some fucking smoosh team is going to take a flyer on him in the first round
get out, get out while there's still time
Re: 2013 Draft thread
There is definitely something weird behind all the hype for this guy. He really hasn't shown that he is anything more than average on the collegiate field. He looked weak and slow against Alabama and his combine measurables haven't shown anything that would contradict that evaluation.Felix wrote:what agent wrote this steaming pile of horseshit?
It looks like the media is panting to push some kind of faggot success story in the NFL.
