Very nice: woman falsely accuses reporter of assaulting someone during a meeting, makes a huge scene to get him thrown out of meeting so they can have an (illegal) closed sessions. Cop obviously assaults reporter, justifiably gets his ass kicked, and like the genius he is DISCHARGES his weapon in a room full of people.

In Ohio, and most other states I suspect, you do not have a right to attack someone who is in the act of taking your property if your property and the thief are outside of your home. You do have a right to use force against someone that is sufficient to defend yourself or another person who is attacking your person or another's person. But when someone takes your property by force, you must call law enforcement and file a complaint and then law enforcement can carry out its role, which is to locate and arrest the thief, and bring the thief to the court for the administration of justice according to the due process of law.

Even in a state as fucked up as Ohio, I suspect you have the right to defend yourself against somebody taking your property off of your person by physical force.
