There better be. For all the shot talking he did to then just up and quit would make him a bitch.

Unless they found bottles of booze in his desk or something. Maybe he woke up thinking he was fired at South Carolina. They like to call themselves USC when deep down they know they aren't.

Southern Cal should consider Mike Price.

Tom Herman is already a dark horse for either job. I hope he stays one more season at UH, but I understand we're a stepping stone program.
It most certainly paid off for Briles and Sumlin. If Herman ends up going to a BTCFP and has success, UH can be the ultimate hot bed for up and coming coaches. One can hope.

Kelly sucks as an NFL coach. He might as well take the Southern Cal job.

Re: Spurrier gone as of tonight.
Charles Kelly was discussedon my favorite local radio show (streamed across the country... those phone thingies can be cool). And the hosts, quite correctly, laughed at the idea. He's not the kind of guy who is going to take his ball and go home after 3 tries.
As far as him sucking as an NFL coach -- how many coaches won 20 games in the last 2 seasons? Long list, is it? Pretty stupid argument.
He's said he wants to win a Super Bowl. As long as an NFL team will have him, he'll be trying for it. We're talking about a guy with an even bigger ego than your average coach. He's on a mission to reinvent the game of football.
If he was content to be a college coach... think that through for yourself -- and try not to be dumb about it. There wasn't anywhere better he could have gone (yeah, run all the smack you want -- Saban isn't going anywhere, and name another team that's been in better position to win since Kelly came to CFB).
Speaking of dumb theories -- after the goings on at USC (the real one) in recent years, do you think they're going to hire a guy who thinks that rules are merely an inconvenience, and that the Gray Area is the full time operations center? I mean, I know USC does dumb shit in the athletic department, but they're not that dumb. When you have to start looking up dates to see if your coaching candidate's CFB suspension is up, it might be a red flag. Schools are really lining up to woo Tressell, eh?
