I think I'm getting spoiled.

A 31 - 14 win and they put up 478 total yards, eating up over 40 min of clock, against the conference's "best defense," but for some reason it just didn't seem that impressive.

The defense only gave up 14 points and 231 yards, but they were playing mostly against freshmen. Still wouldn't be too surprised to see an "L" next to Oregon or Notre Dame.

More insecure than spoiled, I think.


That being said, how fast is McCaffrey? The safety had all sorts of angle on this TD and whiffed by about a yard.

Fournette and Booker get all the Heisman hype, but McCaffrey had 300 all purpose yards and made it look easy. He's a chip off the old block.

While McCaffrey is having a great year, he's racked up a whole buncha garbage-time yards, while Founette has assumed his rightful place on the bench during those times.

McCaffrey sat out the entire fourth quarter vs. UCLA, his biggest game so far. His 243 rushing came in three quarters. He also had no fourth quarter carries vs. Zona.

There might not be one clear dominant team, but the PAC is turning out to be quite the meatgrinder this season.

Hell, toss out Oregon State and Colorado, and it's pretty nasty top-to-bottom. Stanford appears to be the best team, but I'm not even sure. The conference championship is totally up for grabs, although Furd is clearly the clubhouse leader at this point. And I don't know what to make of the South -- Utah? UCLA? Zona? USC?

Next few weeks are going to be awesome for Pac fans. I don't see Oregon making the CCG (but sure could), but I have a hunch they're going to piss in a couple of the hopefuls' Cheerios along the way.

Can't really see that happening, but it's not out of the question. Hopefully they can leave last night behind - I think they weren't ready for the weather or Wazzou's strategy of taking McCaffrey out of the game. Hogan couldn't seem to find his receivers in the wind and rain and, when he did, they didn't want to catch it. When they finally caught on and used McCaffrey as a decoy they started moving the ball.

Utah/Stanford would make a great match-up seeing as how they aren't playing in the regular season. Not sure I'd want a rematch with USC at this point, they seem to be vastly improved without Sark.

@ Autzen... who knows. But with two high-octane offenses going against two mediocre-on-their-best-day defenses (I'm being generous), I'm pretty sure there will be a ton of scoring.

And Stanford has dealt with more shitty weather than Oregon (by a factor of infinity). We'll see how that works out.
