Massive future financial obligations which can not possibly be met.

They show a paln to have the state dissolved and absorbed by surrounding states.

The slave states.....for representative allocation, even though the slaves would have no vote. The free states thought, rightfully so, IMO, that representation should be allocated according to prospective voters. They thought slaves shouldn't have been counted as they weren't considered citizens, but property.

Fortunately, Mrs Kazienko, my high school American History teacher wasn't a fukking moron and did a good job explaining this to us. I suspect today's PC explanation is that slaves were counted as 3/5th simply because the racist white devils hated them.
