At a speech in South Africa today he called for a Universal Basic Income.
Wait, what? I get you just want to hand out more free money to people. But what is this about a job? Sure a job provides things beyond a wage, but your universal income, doesn't come with a job requirement. Remember that is racist. But how would we pay for this universal income? Just wait.“It’s not just money that a job provides,” Obama said in a portion of his speech devoted to economic policy. “It provides dignity and structure and a sense of place and a sense of purpose. So we’re gonna have to consider new ways of thinking about these problems, like a universal income.”
He then goes on to hint that there should be some sort of cap on income or wealth with the excess going to more taxes:
So he should pay more in taxes, he thinks. Well then why doesn't he do just that and send in more of his money than is required? If he has enough, great, give it away. He also calls making more money a poverty of ambition. What a freaking tool. This from a guy that has done zero in his life, but take other people's money. He has lived off of the Political system for his entire life. But he has enough money and no one should want or need more than what he has so taxes should increase and somehow we should cap your wealth."I should add, by the way, right now I’m actually surprised by how much money I got, and let me tell you something: I don’t have half as much as most of these folks or a tenth or a hundredth. There’s only so much you can eat. There’s only so big a house you can have. There’s only so many nice trips you can take. I mean, it’s enough. You don’t have to take a vow of poverty just to say, “Well, let me help out and let a few of the other folks — let me look at that child out there who doesn’t have enough to eat or needs some school fees, let me help him out. I’ll pay a little more in taxes. It’s okay. I can afford it.” I mean, it shows a poverty of ambition to just want to take more and more and more, instead of saying, “Wow, I’ve got so much. Who can I help? How can I give more and more and more?” That’s ambition. That’s impact. That’s influence. What an amazing gift to be able to help people, not just yourself. Where was I? I ad-libbed. You get the point."
At least he was honest and gave us his true colors when he said he ad-libbed and wandered.
