She's 76.

What's that in morbidly obese balck woman years? Gotta be at least a buck fitty.

Well rack her big ass anyway. There are woman that may have more power in their voice or sweetness, but she put it all together. And a pretty fair piano player.

When the Blues Brothers came out, I appreciated it primarily for the comedy, but looking back now, damn, that is a fukk-ton of musical talent.

Aretha, Ray and James? Along with some pretty sizable talent in the BBB.

Does another movie come close?

You should try googling Steve Cropper and Donald "Duck" Dunn. They were part of the MGs (of Booker T) and the Stax Records house band that produced about half the R&B hits of the 60s.

https://www.songhall.org/profile/Steve_Cropper
Cropper wrote the #1 smash hit "Green Onions." In the years to follow he co-wrote some of music's biggest classics such as "Knock On Wood," "Midnight Hour," "634-5789," and in 1967 the legendary “(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay," with friend Otis Redding, establishing Cropper as a songwriting genius.

It’s kinda depressing to think of the 50 years of guitar playing we were all cheated out of when Duane climbed on that fucking Harley.

Agreed.
Not in this thread exactly but the same thing could be said of when Jim checked out..could you imagine his vocals and The Doors music for another 40 years more than we had it for ??

Jim, Jimi, Janis....the early 70s was the suck when it came to losing talent long before their time.

And Beiber will live to 97.

If you paid the slightest bit of attention in that thread, you'd realize my contention was that there should be MORE legal vehicles on the road, not less. I pointed out that MCs are legal despite being unable to meet crash standards.

Two US presidents offered tributes to Aretha.

One said her voice offered us “a glimpse of the divine.” The other said, “she worked for me.”

Guess who said which.

Yeah, I kinda cringed a bit when he said that, but oh well, that's TGOF for ya.

Funny thing is, you're workin' for him too, melty. You just don't know it.

The small under-sized under-powered scooter-type vehicles you want on the road are not compatible with regular automobiles. You keep bringing up motoercycles and how they could never meet automobile crash standards. It's a stupid argument. Motorcycles are not automobiles. They are not licensed as automobiles, they are not insured as automobiles, and they have their own operator licensing.

Despite your thick-headed proclamations, none of these "vehicles" belong on our streets.

Is she the one in trouble for banging the 17 year old?

Pretty classy funeral outfit she's rocking. Kind of hard to blame the pastor for mauling her.
