This board seems to have run out of steam.
It certainly could use a lift.
Maybe some of the unseen forces that move popular opinion on T1B can trot out a few helpful ideas.

I remember way back in the early daze of T1B, a handful of posters started posting in trots as a gesture of protest against the direction the board was going.
I found that amusing.
Equally amusing was when the admins then SHUT DOWN the ability for people to post to threads that were in trots.
There were quite a few threads in trots back then.
I'm just reminiscing.
A major death or catastrophe might infuse some life into the board.
And truly, conflict does create interest.
But political conflict is played out at this point.
Unless something YUGE happens.

Rack! The T1B snowbirds typically make their way back here this time of year.
Some of us are here all year round but are laughing too hard to even reply to Screwy’s daily Trump posts.

That dude's a PoS. Trump would've definitely fired him. Without a doubt.

Bryce Love’s Heisman campaign officially came to an end tonight.
Can JJ Arcega-Whiteside be the first WR since Desmond Howard?

Maybe it's not the board. Maybe you just need a vacation.
Some new blood would make things a lot more interesting.
Smack-offs are very entertaining.
Discourage posts about Donald Trump.
Encourage a little old school smack.

18 for 26 yards. Nope - not exactly Heisman numbers.
6 catches, 226 yards, 3 TDs are pretty good numbers though.

From the unlikely crime logs of:
Date: September 1, 2018
Locality: The One Board
Complaint: “This board seems to have run out of steam. It could certainly use a lift.”
Complainant: Shlomart Ben Yisrael AKA “Marty”
Suspects:
Arrests made: None
Case notes: This board is no different from the last time I visited it, and no different from the time before that, and the time before that. Noticed that a few avatars have changed, but the rhetoric remains unchanged. Would be interesting to see a member say, "By God, you know, I think you are right after all. But that doesn't seem to happen. Measles still hates Donald Trump. Pruneface still follows Glen Beck. Gravel Gertie is still content biting at ankles. Littleface still thinks the more guns people have, the less violence there will be. Snowflake still thinks black pride is good and white pride is racist.
Quotes: Breathless Mahoney said, "I've put up almost 20,000 posts. You'd think this would be more interesting." And Nifty said, "More homo smack would really spice things up." And Frizzletop said, "Every time I see a forklift I think of Catfish."
Findings: Nice place to visit, but...
Suggestions: Bring back Deez Nutz. Make Mikey live in the south for a year. Ask Bri to change his avatar to a dancing hamster. Make Joe take off his I Like Ike campaign button. Tell Screwy that most black people think he's a putz (but break it to him gently). Tell Goober he's funny. He needs to hear this.
Your friend, Dick.
Over and out!

As a liberal Democrat, you would fit right in. At least on the racism front.

First day in South Carolina I go to the bank to wire some money to California. I wait for one of the tellers behind a black man who owns a restaurant. I know this because I hear his cellphone conversation with this employee while he waits in line. The teller I finally get is a black woman, who calls me "darlin'" and hooks me up with another black woman, who she calls a banker. This second black woman, the banker, sits me down at her desk and proceeds with my transaction. Then she says she needs the bank manager to approve it. The bank manager is a black man in a suit and tie, and he approves the transaction. In the office next to us is a white woman talking to another black banker. They are talking about their kids, not about banking. They seem to be friends, and they are laughing a lot. I'm thinking to myself, "Well, I'll be a son of a..."
Say what you will, Mikey, but I never saw anything approaching this where I lived in "non-racist" California.

I didn't say that he did. I just said that no, JJ would not be the first WR since Desmond Howard to win. Then I pointed out who would win. Stick to vegetable prep and house cleaning and let the men talk football.

Marty, when I read the words “lift” and “steam” in your post which is immediately followed by an apology for seeming gay, I thought to myself, “Hmm, maybe he’s KC Scott’s troll.” Care to comment?

Anyone that has lived in more civilized parts of the south, like Nashville, knows that southerners are light-years ahead of Northeastern and Left coast progressives. They have way more experience with it. The pretty much hashed things out in the 50-60s and get along well. I saw something in Nashville in the 90s, I still don't see in the North East, middle class mixed race neighborhoods. And I am not talking about a token family or two. I am talking reasonably balanced populations in lower middle-class neighborhoods.

Judging from your over the top reaction you must be KC Scott’s troll— and are upset at my case of mistaken identity. I’m sorry dude, I had no idea that purses were such a thing with you. Lift and steam, indeed!

You're dropping k-bombs only because your n-bobmbs get altered. And no, it doesn't upset me at all. It gives me great joy, as that is the signal that you've been beaten to a bloody pulp, and you have nothing left. Yes, k-bombs are your very own little white flags, Melty. You wave them proudly.
