Weekend Roll Call 12-7-24

Post by kcdave »

Born about 25 years after the Pearl Harbor Attack,
Dec 7th was much more of a thing in my younger
days than it is today. Each passing year its significance
dwindles slightly. :-|

Pretty nice weather on tap for the weekend here in FOC,
but I won't see much of it. Working at the real job 12 straight
days for year end bullshit. No rest for the wicked.

64 days until 3pete.

Work weekend. I’ll have the games on in the background.

Church Christmas party tonight. My wife is singing a solo and leading the children's chorus.

Crossed an item off my vehicle wish list.
Stock Photo, but mine is almost identical.

1991 Toyota HiAce
31K miles
1 Ton chassis
2.4L diesel
5 speed manual
Bed sides fold down

These are indestructible. OG Top Gear tried with the pickup version.

Ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby.

Awesome purchase, RB.

That was a great Top Gear episode . They couldn’t kill the Toyota.

No 3pete. Detroit will be the Super Bowl winner this year.

Ran some errands this morning, voted, had some leftover roast for breakfast.

Props to Smackie for an epcot Tune Town last night, again. In chat, Mikey told me about a ThermoPro meat thermometer that I'll probably get soon, and I told him about creole butter. Really good stuff, inject it into chicken, beef, or pork, check it out.

I'm feeling better after covid kicked my ass for a week and a half. But my wife left for Miami for a week, so it is just me and our two little dogs now. I'll get to watch a good deal of football this weekend, probably play some backgammon online as well. Y'all have a good one.
