or the networks did.
Textbook targeting. Textbook. I'm surprised this isn't a topic yet. Taffe went helmet to helmet on a defenseless receiver. There was 1:03 eft in game, and ref went to the hood. He was either told not to call it or he had his own agenda. Bias aside...I just said "what the fuck?" so many times. I could not believe it. I wanted to strangle that motherfucking ref for stealing the opportunity from Arizona State to win the game in regulation.
The icing on the cake? The bowl basically said, "We know we fucked you over Arizona State so we will give your RB the MVP."
Fuck t.u. and ASU. They were the better team yesterday and were trucked New Orleans-style by the refs.

Came in here looking for the targeting thread.
Absolutely...They should save a clip of that play to show Ref's in Ref school or whatever they have to illustrate a FULL targeting - includes helmet to helmet (crown too) and defenseless player.

There was no question it was targeting. mvscunt should come in here saying they were given a gift...or they paid for the gift. Regardless, it was targeting. Karma was given to ASU with 2 missed field goals. But they never got the opportunity to finish it themselves by the rules of the game.
I truly believe the refs did not call it because of the impact of ejecting and suspending the safety. I do believe that rule should be changed to penalize the 15 yards with no ejection but not suspend the player for half a game. Had that rule been in place, they would have confirmed targeting. No matter, they still should have called targeting.
Now, I am betting money line for Ohio State to curb-stomp this team that did not earn or deserve the next round. Dot that I!

Well, the shorthorn fans probably would have thrown shit on the field until the refs agreed with them anyway.
