He can hand out medals to whomever he wants. Granted the medals mean less after this than before. Kinda reminds me of Nebraska back in the day devaluing all their diplomas when they claimed prop 48 athletes had no issue graduating from Nebraska.

Every President has debased Congressional Medals, even your faves. Biden, however, has dementia and is not making these decisions.

Everything went out the window when The Pardon was given to Hunter 'Crack Pipes and Child Porn' Biden "...for those offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024". Given medals out to people whose politics you disagree with, or whose medals seem more like personal tit for tats instead of recognition for service to the US, pales into blandness by comparison.
