They sort of had interchangeable parts throughout their history. It's always been Robert Smith's baby.TheTrolls.NetOWNER wrote:Complete band breakup and everything all changed around....that just got me to wondering. Robert Smith has lost his mind this time round.Rack Fu wrote:According to their website, it looks like the European festival circuit.

I sometimes wonder if he ever had it. But, that's not necessarily a bad thing!TheTrolls.NetOWNER wrote:Robert Smith has lost his mind this time round.
BTW- doesn't this thread belong in the Music forum? :P

100% correct. i think Simon Gallup and Lawrence Tolhurst were sort of long timers--but i stopped paying attention to RS after the stinkup that was Kiss me, Kiss me, Kiss me. Disintegration is pretty decent i guess (though many gush about it like it was Sgt. Peppers). Head on the Door is my personal fave but Boys Don't Cry is up there. Pornography and Faith sound a little dated these days--but good...compared to most receycled garbage that traffics as "indie pop"--how many MORE bands will try and sound like Syd Barrett or Dinosaur Jr. on the local college station?Rack Fu wrote:

There's a reason why the "Wish" album was more upbeat, relatively speaking.King Crimson wrote:i think Simon Gallup and Lawrence Tolhurst were sort of long timers--
It's 'cause Lol got shown the door!
"Disintegration" is my personal Cure fave, but "Head On The Door" is not far behind, IMO.
I still think this thread is more appropriate to the Music forum! :P
