No doubt...the guy has put up legendary numbers without being a spectacular player. His numbers have stayed pretty steady for a while, very good but not MVP-worthy...you wonder how long he's been doing this. For him to lie to Congress and then test positive, he's got the least credibility of them all. Giambi half admitted he juiced, McGwire won't admit it and Bonds is still hush hush about the whole matter. Palmeiro lied that he was cleaned and was busted...I'd have a hard time voting him in now that he's been found out as a cheater.
What a bunch of gullible fucks. You surprise me, Shoalz. I thought you to be brighter than that. Everyone involved in the process from testing to arbitration to punishment believe in the likelihood that Palmeiro is being truthful. You know, those guys CLOSE to the situation. But not Shoalz. Shoalz was there when Raffy shot up. He knows. He done did saw it hisself.

He tested for something that's against the rules...you can't deny that. If he knew about it or not, he put something in his body that he shouldn't have.
I think you're being a bit hard on the issue Shoalzie. I mean, it's not like it's the year 2005 and technology is there to know what exactly you are putting into your body, even if you were a millionare athlete?

It's not like he ate a bad steak and he got a banned substance in his body. He's been a model citizen as a ball player but you never know what goes on behind closed doors. He's not a naive young athlete that was tricked by his personal trainer. He's a veteran player that would know better than to do something questionable. If may be hard to believe he did something wrong but he tested positive for something...that's a fact.

Nigga please. :roll: :roll: :roll:
He's the ONLY 500+ HR player to have a 500 AB season and hit less than 10 HR... and he did it TWICE. :roll: :roll: :roll:
Dude averaged 14 HR/season (I'm throwing out the 1st two years as they weren't full seasons) before moving on to the Rangers and meeting Canseco. After never even sniffing 30 HR, dude hits 37 the next season after becoming Canseco's teammate... and pretty much averages that for the rest of his career. Coincidence? I think not.
I'm a Cards fan (yes buddy, it's me) and I can pretty much admit to the juice thing now for McGwire. HOWEVER... there's still a part of me who says, "Hey.. he hit 49 HR before ever touching the stuff... maybe he didn't do it after all!". What do you to say in Rafy's defense?? The numbers don't lie....

I just can’t believe how many people are giving this dude a free pass for his cheating. You don’t know how long he has been cheating, but the numbers don’t lie. He started off the year HORRIBLE when the rest of the O’s were clicking, and it was talked about that he may be benched.
At mid-May, he only has one homer to his name and batting like .220 or so. His quest for 3000 got to him. He got on the juice and his home run total inflated along with his batting average. Everything in the last 3 sentences is factual.
Dude is a cheater. He should be labeled as a cheater FOR EVER.
I swear to GOD how stupid do these fuckers think we are?
Sammy Sosa: “I didn’t know the bat was corked.” Whatever. Bullshit. CHEATER!
Brenden Donneley: “Just a little pine tar for grip on the ball.” Whatever. Bullshit. CHEATER!
Rafeal Palmerio: “I didn’t intentionally take the roids.” Whatever. Bullshit. CHEATER!

I don't even think of roider as a HOF at this point, only 4 all star appearances, and never has been even close to the WS.
They're saying that since he tested positive after testifying to congress that he's not on the hook for perjury.
I'd like to hear from Raffy the circumstances in which he took whatever it was that resulted in the positive test. Certainly at 40 dude should know exactly what he was taking, ESPECIALLY with the new steroid policy in effect. The attitudes of most of the players hasn't changed, their plan is if their test comes back positive, play dumb and pretend to have no clue as to how the test came back positive. Then apologize to the fans to get back on their good side and play the victim card.
These guys make me sick. Look at every position player that testified before congress in March - Mac, Canseco, Sosa, Palmeiro - there's now a cloud of suspicion under each of them. Throw in Bonds, Giambi and Sheffield and you basically have the top 6 HR hitters (plus Giambi who started cranking out 30+ a season by 2000) from the decade of the 90's all either shown to be on the juice or suspected of being on the juice. And if I'm not mistaken, isn't each player only tested once per season this year? Interesting how Giambi all of a sudden hits 14 HR in July after having a career threatening leg injury. :roll:
If Giambi had his test earlier in the season already, me thinks he got back on the juice immediately thereafter.
And another footnote, anyone notice how Sammy Sosa went from 35 HR last year to having one of the worst offensive years of his career in spite of playing in Camden Yards? And it just so happens this is the 1st year of the new steroid policy. Yeah, not suspicious at all. :roll:
Yeah baseball isn't in any trouble. :roll:
Bonds - grandy jury testimony says he was on roids
Mac - probably on roids
Sosa - probably on roids
Raffy - on roids
Canseco - was on roids
Sheffield - probably on roids
Giambi - grandy jury testimony says he was on roids
Way to go baseball. :roll:

Well, it IS a performance enhancer.jiminphilly wrote:Is there Steriods in Viagra?
Kinda ironic that ESPN has all of these talking heads waving the moral terpitude banner in regards to baseball and performance-enhancing substances during programming segments, yet the commercials in between segments are loaded with Viagra and Cialis ads.
Nope. Not dead.

I believe Sheffield was implicated in Grand Jury testimony. He said he rubbed the cream on his body but didn't know what it was...... :roll:
Stanozolol...... wait a sec..... if my memory serves me correctly didn't Tim Montgomery accuse Barry of taking that while testifying in the BALCO case?Otis wrote:It's being reported now that Rafi tested positive for the steroid, stanzonol which isn't something you'd find in a cold medicine.
It's the same anabolic steroid that Ben Johnson was caught taking

stanozolol...Look it up!

If I were a shithouse lawyer... I would say that Mr. Palmiero was not using this drug for it's anabolic effects, he was using this drug for it's sexual performance effects which is a known side effect of this drug...

What are the possible side effects of stanozolol?
• In rare cases, serious and even fatal cases of liver problems have developed during treatment with stanozolol. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience abdominal pain, light colored stools, dark colored urine, unusual fatigue, nausea or vomiting, or yellowing of the skin or eyes. These may be early signs of liver problems.
• If you experience any of the following serious side effects, contact your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical attention:
· an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives);
· swelling of the arms or legs (especially ankles);
· frequent or persistent erections, or breast tenderness or enlargement (male patients); or
· voice changes (hoarseness, deepening), hair loss, facial hair growth, clitoral enlargement, or menstrual irregularities (female patients).
• Other less serious side effects may also occur. Talk to your doctor if you experience
· new or worsening acne;
· difficulty sleeping;
· headache; or
· changes in sexual desire.
• Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury,
As we have all seen Mr. Palmiero's ads for Viagra and have recently became aware of the fact that Viagra can lead to blindness. Mr. Palmiero had begun using stanozolol to improve his sexual performance and not for it's anabolic effects...
(Pay no attention to his large Man Breasts and Acne, Hair loss and severe acne)

My bud is working in Seattle right now, and says this morning word is coming down that 10....yes 10 Mariners got popped. I'll believe that when I see the reports, but since the biggest roid freak in history was their ringleader (sup Dyanaboone), I wouldn't be suprised.

Ryan Franklin tested positive yesterday, but dude is 190 and looks frail. If that's true that 10 of them tested positive I'm betting Richie Sexson and Adrian Beltre are 2 of the 10. Hell Ichiro has probably thought about juicing at this point.
