For Oakland, after all these years, it is still Al Davis.
I'd reckon that for the Colts for example, it is Peyton Manning.
For Atlanta, Michael Vick.
Texans, David Carr, IMO.
Who is the "face" of your franchise....?

The top selling jersey for the Philadelphia Eagles is wide receiver Terrell Owens who ranked second on the list with Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb right behind ranked third overall.jiminphilly wrote:If you're talking from the fans perspective, you'll find more #20 jersey's on the backs of Philly fans then you would #5.
We are talking local fans.BSmack wrote:The top selling jersey for the Philadelphia Eagles is wide receiver Terrell Owens who ranked second on the list with Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb right behind ranked third overall.jiminphilly wrote:If you're talking from the fans perspective, you'll find more #20 jersey's on the backs of Philly fans then you would #5.

I wasn't basing my claim on jersey sales.jiminphilly wrote:BSmack wrote:The top selling jersey for the Philadelphia Eagles is wide receiver Terrell Owens who ranked second on the list with Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb right behind ranked third overall.jiminphilly wrote:If you're talking from the fans perspective, you'll find more #20 jersey's on the backs of Philly fans then you would #5.

Read... then post.
You don't read very well. YOU were the one who said Dawkins jerseys outnumbered McNabb jerseys. I posted data that showed that both TO and McNabb outsell Dawkins. I would venture to say that Westbrook does as well.jiminphilly wrote:Then what were you basing it on since the links says THE TOP SELLING JERSEY FOR THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES ....
So, in your mind Dawkins represents the Eagles. That's cool. Just don't try to sell that to me based on jersey sales. Because that doesn't fly. This topic isn't about marketing it's about who the fans feal is the 'face' of the team and of the maybe 3-4 Eagles fans on this board, 2 have said Dawkins takes it over McNabb. Owens has not even been mentioned.
I have 1 Eagles Jersey hanging in my closet. It's #20.
You ever see someone wearing a jersey of a team they are not a fan of who wasn't in a rap video?Marketing figures are nice, if only you could tell me it was all fans of the Philadelphia Eagles not TO that purchased his jersey.. but you can't.
